Cooler Master has started selling its GPU Shield Adapter in the United States for $49.99, bringing its 12V 2x6 power monitoring accessory to another market after an earlier launch in China.
The standalone adapter sits between the power supply cable and graphics card. Its main purpose is to monitor current across the individual power pins and warn you when it detects unusual electrical behavior.
The US version is now listed as in stock, with orders shipping from California. However, the warranty is notably shorter than the coverage offered with the Chinese model.

GPU Shield monitors current on individual pins
Cooler Master's adapter is designed to provide another layer of monitoring for modern graphics cards using the 12V 2x6 power connector.
Instead of monitoring only total power draw, the GPU Shield checks current behavior at the individual pin level.
If it detects an abnormal condition, the adapter can alert you through a multicolor LED ring and an integrated buzzer.
That could help identify an electrical problem before it develops into a more serious connector issue.
Cooler Master also includes an automatic protection system for more severe abnormalities. According to the company, the adapter can reduce the system's power consumption when necessary to limit the possibility of further damage.
Dual color connector helps with installation
The 200 mm cable uses a dual color 12+4 pin connector.
The design is intended to make it easier to see whether the plug has been inserted completely into the graphics card.
Proper connector seating remains important with high power GPUs because incomplete insertion can increase resistance and heat around the connection.
The GPU Shield therefore combines electrical monitoring with a visual installation aid rather than relying on software alone.
US buyers receive a shorter warranty
One major difference between the US and Chinese versions is the warranty.
Cooler Master lists a one year warranty for the GPU Shield sold in the United States.
The Chinese model, which launched earlier at 359 RMB, came with three years of warranty coverage. That version also included full compensation if the connector melted while being used within the stated warranty conditions.
The current US product information does not mention similar compensation.
Pricing is otherwise almost identical. The Chinese launch price converted to roughly $50, while the US version sells for $49.99.
The difference in warranty coverage may therefore be one of the most important considerations for buyers comparing the two regional versions.
Standalone adapter avoids replacing the power supply
Cooler Master first showed GPU Shield technology at CES 2026.
The company has integrated similar monitoring into its MWE Gold V4 power supplies, but the standalone adapter makes the technology available to people who do not want to replace their existing PSU.
Compatibility depends on the graphics card using a 12V 2x6 or equivalent 12+4 pin power connection.
For owners of high power graphics cards, the $49.99 adapter provides per pin monitoring, audible and visual alerts, automatic protection and an easier way to check connector insertion.
The shorter one year US warranty is the main compromise compared with the Chinese release, particularly because the Chinese version offered three years of coverage and specific compensation for connector melting.
