Colorful has launched the iGame X870E Vulcan W OC, a new flagship AM5 motherboard designed for enthusiasts and memory overclockers.
The board uses AMD’s X870E chipset and follows the earlier iGame X870E Vulcan OC, but this version adopts a white design and adds a feature set focused heavily on overclocking, high speed DDR5 memory and premium connectivity.
It has already attracted attention after running CXMT based DDR5 memory at 9000 MT/s in recent testing.

Colorful equips the motherboard with an 18+2+2 phase power delivery system using 110A DrMOS components.
Large heatsinks cover the VRM area, with embedded copper heat pipes intended to help maintain temperatures during sustained high power workloads.
The motherboard also uses a 10 layer PCB, which should help with signal integrity and high speed memory tuning.
Two DIMM slots focus on memory overclocking
One of the most notable design choices is the use of only two DDR5 DIMM slots.
That limits total module count compared with conventional four slot X870E boards, but two DIMM layouts are commonly used on overclocking focused motherboards because shorter and simpler memory traces can help stability at very high data rates.

Dedicated controls target enthusiasts
The iGame X870E Vulcan W OC includes several hardware controls aimed at overclockers.
These include a debug display, BIOS switch and direct BCLK adjustment.

Colorful also includes an iGame Smart LCD near the memory slots. The display can be used for hardware monitoring and supports some customization.
The company says the board supports its X3D AI High Frame Rate mode, a feature aimed at improving gaming behavior with supported Ryzen X3D processors.
The board is also described as specially optimized for high end AM5 CPUs, including Ryzen 9 9950X3D class processors.
PCIe 5.0 storage and high speed USB are included
Storage support includes M.2 slots using both PCIe 5.0 x4 and PCIe 4.0 x4 interfaces.
That gives you support for current high performance NVMe SSDs while leaving additional slots for more conventional PCIe 4.0 storage.
The rear I/O includes several high speed USB connections, including USB Type C ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt Mode support.
