Rex Infernus is positioned as the conclusion of the current Zombies narrative. Players will be tasked with cleansing the Shadowsmith’s places of power, reaching the Warden’s inner sanctum and ending the final confrontation.

Completing the main quest before Directed Mode becomes available will unlock a unique Calling Card that can no longer be earned once that mode launches.

Other rewards include the Bloodthorn Wonder Weapon skin, additional Calling Cards and 10,000 XP. Collecting all available Intel will also provide another Calling Card and another 10,000 XP.

Widow's Wine returns with new augments

Widow's Wine is returning as part of the update and will include new major and minor augments to research.

The update also adds a new GobbleGum called Fully Packed. Using it will upgrade a weapon directly to Pack a Punch level 3, giving players another powerful option during longer Zombies runs.

Two Ultra Rarity weapons are also joining the Mystery Box.

The TR2 marksman rifle and Olympia shotgun will be added to the available weapon pool, expanding the high tier rewards players can obtain during matches.

Rex Infernus will be the last full Zombies map for now

Season 05 Reloaded carries extra significance because Rex Infernus is expected to be the final new full Zombies map for some time.

Modern Warfare 4 will not include a Zombies mode, meaning Black Ops 7 will remain the latest main Call of Duty release with a traditional Zombies experience after its seasonal content ends.

The Endgame PvE extraction mode is also nearing the end of its free access period. Once Season 05 finishes, Endgame will return to being available only to Black Ops 7 owners and through Game Pass.

The Burn Run Assignment will continue appearing across Avalon during the Reloaded period, with a maximum required combat rating of 45.

Multiplayer and Warzone also get new content

Multiplayer will receive Turbo Tilt, a pinball themed map influenced by Nuketown and featuring interactive bumpers and ramps.

Freerun: Descent gets a new course, while Cranked Moshpit returns to the playlist rotation.

Warzone will bring back Loaded Resurgence and introduce two new gameplay features.

The Quickdrop Kit reduces redeploy time in Resurgence, while Special Delivery Drones can be shot down across modes to earn weapon camouflage rewards.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 05 Reloaded launches on August 20 at 9am Pacific, with Rex Infernus serving as the closing chapter of the game’s current Zombies storyline.
