Asus has introduced a new set of gaming monitors at Computex 2026, with the ROG lineup leading the announcement through faster OLED panels, dual mode displays, and a new 5K screen aimed at sharp desktop visuals. The most eye catching model is the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace, which Asus says is the world’s first 24.5 inch OLED gaming monitor.
The XG259QWPG Ace is built for competitive players first. It uses a 1080p panel and can reach a 540Hz refresh rate, which makes it one of the fastest OLED gaming displays announced so far. Asus is also claiming a 0.02ms response time, giving esports players a screen focused on speed, low blur, and fast input response.
The display uses Tandem WOLED technology, which Asus says improves brightness, color volume, and panel life compared with conventional WOLED panels. The company claims up to 15 percent higher peak brightness, 25 percent larger color volume, and 60 percent longer lifespan. It also uses a TrueBlack glossy coating, which is meant to improve black levels and image sharpness.
| Monitor | Size and panel | Key mode | Main focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace | 24.5 inch Tandem WOLED | 1080p at 540Hz | Esports and competitive gaming |
| ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM | 32 inch RGB Tandem OLED | 4K 240Hz or FHD 480Hz | Premium gaming and creators |
| ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS | 31.5 inch Tandem WOLED | 4K 240Hz or FHD 480Hz | Immersive and competitive gaming |
| ROG Strix 5KXG27JCEG | 27 inch 5K display | 5K 80Hz or QHD 320Hz | Sharp visuals and flexible gaming |
The XG259QWPG Ace also supports VESA DisplayHDR 600 True Black, 10 bit color depth, 99.5 percent DCI P3 coverage, and Delta E below 2 color accuracy. Those numbers matter because esports monitors often focus heavily on speed while sacrificing image quality. Asus appears to be trying to offer both, although the 1080p resolution makes it clearly targeted at players who prioritize frame rate over sharpness.

Asus also showed the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCWM, a 32 inch 4K monitor with third generation Tandem RGB OLED technology. This panel uses four RGB layers to improve brightness, sharpness, and color volume. It supports a dual mode setup, letting you switch between 4K at 240Hz and Full HD at 480Hz. That makes it useful for players who want rich visuals in single player games and higher speed in competitive matches.
The PG32UCWM also includes Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certification, true 10 bit color depth, DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 with 80Gbps bandwidth, and USB C with 90W power delivery. Asus says this model will also be available in a 27 inch version, with both expected in early Q3 2026.
The ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS follows a similar idea. It is a 31.5 inch 4K gaming monitor with a TrueBlack glossy Tandem WOLED panel. Like the Swift model, it supports dual mode operation with 4K at 240Hz and Full HD at 480Hz. This gives players one monitor for both cinematic image quality and faster competitive play.
The final standout is the ROG Strix 5KXG27JCEG. This is a 27 inch 5K monitor with a very high 218 PPI pixel density, giving it much sharper detail than typical 1440p or 4K gaming screens at the same size. It runs at 80Hz in 5K mode, but can switch to QHD at up to 320Hz when players want smoother competitive performance.
The 5K monitor also includes a KVM switch, allowing you to control multiple systems with the same keyboard and mouse. That could make it useful for people who move between a work PC and gaming PC, or creators who want a sharper display without giving up high refresh rate gaming entirely.
Asus’s new lineup shows how quickly gaming monitors are splitting into more specialized categories. The 24.5 inch 540Hz OLED is clearly for esports players. The 4K dual mode OLED models are for people who want both visual quality and speed. The 5K model is for buyers who care about pixel density and desktop clarity, but still want a fast QHD mode for games.
Pricing has not been detailed yet, and that will decide how attractive these monitors are in practice. OLED and high refresh rate displays are still premium products, and the newest Tandem OLED panels will not be cheap.
Still, Asus has delivered one of the more interesting monitor lineups of Computex 2026. The company is not only increasing refresh rates. It is also giving players more flexible display modes, sharper panels, stronger OLED brightness, and better options for different kinds of gaming setups.
