AMD has released its Adrenalin Edition 26.7.1 graphics driver with support for the new Radeon RX 9050, the upcoming Gears of War: E Day multiplayer beta and the open world survival game Out of Control Evolution.
The update also fixes several problems affecting Radeon RX 7000 and RX 9000 series graphics cards. These include crashes in Blender, missing interface elements in Fortnite and incorrect status information for AMD FSR features in Battlefield 6.
The driver is available through the AMD Software application. Radeon owners planning to participate in the Gears of War: E Day beta should install it before the test begins on August 6.

Radeon RX 9050 receives official driver support
The Radeon RX 9050 is a new entry level graphics card based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. It will be offered with between 4GB and 8GB of video memory, depending on the model.
Adrenalin 26.7.1 provides the official software support required for the card. This should include device recognition, game profiles, performance management and access to features available through AMD Software.

Radeon RX 7000 series and newer cards could previously show flickering models or fail to render certain content correctly in Blender and Maxon Cinema 4D. Some systems could also experience intermittent Blender crashes.
Fortnite players using Radeon RX 7000 series or newer hardware may have encountered a missing directional indicator icon. The new driver is intended to restore that interface element.
AMD has also fixed intermittent crashes affecting some Windows 10 games when FSR Upscaling 4.1 was enabled on Radeon RX 7000 series products.
Another correction affects Battlefield 6 on Radeon RX 9000 series cards. AMD Software could incorrectly report FSR Upscaling and FSR Frame Generation as inactive even when both options were enabled inside the game.

Several known issues remain under investigation
The driver still includes unresolved problems that Radeon owners should consider before installing it.
Battlefield 6 may experience intermittent crashes or driver timeouts on systems using the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. AMD is working with the game’s developer on a future fix.
Texture flickering or corruption may also appear in Battlefield 6 when AMD Record and Stream is active on some graphics products.
The AI Bundle installation can fail in regions with limited access to GitHub and Hugging Face. This appears to be connected to the driver’s ability to download required components rather than a general graphics problem.
AMD Smart Access Memory may become disabled after installing the driver on Windows 10. Anyone using that operating system should check the feature’s status after completing the update.
