Worms Galactic Tactics takes the series into roguelike strategy

Worms Galactic Tactics was one of the more notable reveals from the pre show.

The game shifts the familiar Worms formula toward tactical roguelike combat while keeping destructible environments and recognizable weapons. Players will be able to modify classic equipment and build strategic combinations while fighting through arena based encounters.

The game is currently targeting 2027 on Xbox.

Train Sim World 7 is arriving much sooner, with a September 15, 2026 release date. It continues the series' focus on railway simulation and train driving across detailed routes.

Aniimo and Genigods: Nezha expand the RPG lineup

Aniimo is heading to Xbox in September as a free to play open world creature collecting RPG.

The game takes place across the continent of Idyll and lets you collect creatures, unlock abilities, explore large environments and take part in competitions.

Genigods: Nezha also received a reveal trailer.

It is an action RPG inspired by ancient Chinese creation mythology. You play as Spirit Pearl, a being created by the goddess Nüwa, with combat built around battles against large mythological enemies.

Perceptum and Acornia offer two very different experiences

Perceptum is scheduled for 2027 and takes a psychological horror approach.

You play as a medium investigating the disappearance of a family inside an oppressive house. The game uses mechanics involving hearing the supernatural with your eyes closed and using a mirror to reveal things that normally cannot be seen.

Acornia: Mirror Worlds also targets 2027 but uses a much lighter concept.

It combines shop management with combat across two dimensions. One side of the game focuses on running a store, while the other involves fighting spirits and using stored items during encounters.

Valor Mortis launches in October

Valor Mortis received an October 13, 2026 release date.

The first person action game comes from the creators of Ghostrunner and follows a former soldier from Napoleon's army who returns from death with supernatural powers.

The game combines melee combat, monsters and a larger conspiracy involving humanity.

Elta: Defy All Gods is instead planned for early 2027. It is an action platformer built around melee combat, traversal and science fiction environments, with a dragon god companion accompanying the main character.

Age Twisters focuses on two player cooperation

Age Twisters is a two player narrative adventure scheduled for 2027.

It follows a grandfather and granddaughter who solve puzzles by changing their ages. The game also supports a Friend's Pass, allowing one player to invite another without requiring a second full copy.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword received an expanded demo announcement instead of a new release date. The updated demo becomes available on September 4 and gives players another opportunity to try the game's samurai combat against the Genma.

Mariachi Legends completes the lineup with an April 27, 2027 Xbox release date. The pixel art Metroidvania follows detective Pablo Cruz, who gains supernatural powers after making a deal with Death and can transform into La Sombra during combat.

The Gamescom 2026 pre show therefore added several near term Xbox releases while also filling out the platform's 2027 schedule with a diverse group of new games.
