Valve Reveals Full Steam Sale and Festival Schedule Through July 2027

Valve has published its official Steam event schedule for the rest of 2026 and the first half of 2027, giving PC players and developers an early look at upcoming seasonal sales, themed festivals, and Next Fest events.

The calendar covers promotions from the Train Fest in July 2026 through the Steam Summer Sale in June and July 2027. Valve regularly announces its event plans in advance so developers can prepare discounts, demos, and promotional material for suitable festivals.

Players can also use the schedule to decide when to purchase games. Steam’s large seasonal sales usually offer discounts across thousands of titles, while smaller festivals focus on particular genres, themes, or gameplay styles.

Steam’s remaining 2026 events include Autumn and Winter sales

The next event is Train Fest, which runs from July 20 to July 27. It will be followed by Cyberpunk Fest in early August and the shorter Pins and Pegs Fest later that month.

The Steam Autumn Sale begins on October 1 and continues until October 8. Valve has also scheduled another Steam Next Fest for October, followed immediately by the fifth Steam Scream event for horror games.

The Steam Winter Sale will begin on December 17 and run through January 4, 2027. It will be the final major seasonal promotion of 2026.

Steam’s first half of 2027 includes several unusual themed festivals

Valve’s 2027 calendar begins with Desktop Companion Fest from January 14 to January 18. Shop Keeper Fest will follow from January 25 to February 1.

February includes Sheep Fest, Couch Co Op Fest, and the first Steam Next Fest of the year. Next Fest events are particularly important for upcoming games because they allow developers to offer playable demos and reach new audiences before release.

March will bring Rhythm Fest, the Steam Spring Sale, and Dinos versus Robots Fest. The Spring Sale runs from March 18 to March 25.

April will focus on racing, witches, and fighting games. Real Time Strategy Fest follows in May, along with a shorter Mountaineering Fest at the end of the month.

The Steam Summer Sale returns on June 24, 2027

The next Steam Summer Sale will begin on June 24 and end on July 8, 2027. The two week promotion is expected to be one of the largest PC gaming sales of the year.

Steam’s seasonal sales generally cover a wide range of publishers and genres. The themed festivals are smaller, but they can be useful for discovering games that might otherwise receive limited attention on the store.

Publishing the calendar early also helps studios avoid overlapping discounts or promotional campaigns. Developers can choose events that match their games and prepare demos for the two Next Fest periods scheduled in February and June.

The dates may still be adjusted if Valve changes its plans, but the schedule gives players a clear view of Steam’s major promotions for the next 12 months. The October Autumn Sale, December Winter Sale, March Spring Sale, and June Summer Sale will remain the main events for anyone planning larger PC game purchases.
