Amazon is selling the 55-inch Sony BRAVIA 6 OLED for $1,098.00, and that is $1.99 less than Sony charges for the 48-inch version of the same television. The bigger panel is the cheaper buy today, which is not how this line usually prices.

The set is model K-55A60, a 4K OLED running Google TV, with four HDMI ports carrying 2.1 features and support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Sony's listing counts "over 8 million self-lit pixels" behind the contrast claim.
What the $1,098 price actually undercuts
Sony's own store lists the K-55A60 at a sale price of $1,199.99, down from $1,499.99. Amazon is therefore $101.99 under Sony, a wider gap than the $1.99 margins seen on other BRAVIA sizes lately.
The sharper comparison is inside the same model line. Sony's store sells the 48-inch K-48A60 at $1,099.99, so the 55-inch at Amazon costs $1.99 less for seven more inches of screen.
Treat the $1,499.99 strike-through with care. Sony prints it as the original price, so it is a genuine figure, but nobody is charging it. Sony's live price is $1,199.99, and retailer Abt lists the same TV at $1,198 with a rebate that it says ends on October 25.
Amazon is the seller and shipper on this listing, not a marketplace reseller. Availability reads simply "In Stock", with no low-stock warning and no Prime-only price.

Sony never prints a refresh figure of its own for this model. The 120Hz number comes from retailer spec sheets, and Sony's own footnote only says VRR and 4K/120 need a game that supports them.
BRAVIA 6 is the OLED line, despite the number
Sony's 2026 naming has caused real confusion, so it is worth stating plainly. On Sony's own listings the 2026 range reads BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II as True RGB sets, BRAVIA 6 as OLED, and BRAVIA 3 II as LED.
The number no longer tells anyone the panel type. Two higher-numbered 2026 models are backlit LCD, while this lower-numbered one is self-emissive OLED. For contrast, the 2025 BRAVIA 5 is a Mini LED set.
Sony lists no LED or Mini LED BRAVIA 6 at all. The K-A60 line runs in 48, 55, 65, 77 and 83-inch sizes, and all of them are OLED.
What Gemini on this TV actually means
Gemini is in the product name on both Amazon and Sony's store. Sony's footnote is more guarded than the name suggests.
Sony says Gemini "requires a software update" and "is available on select models only", in "select countries, languages" and to "users 18+". It also tells buyers to "check responses for accuracy".
Sony does not say whether a set bought today arrives with Gemini already installed, nor which countries and languages count as the select ones. The listing describes the assistant as a way to find something to watch, answer questions and control smart home devices. A Google account is also needed for more than basic features.
How it compares with other 55-inch TV deals
| 55-inch TV | Panel | Price | List price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sony BRAVIA 6 (K-55A60) | OLED | $1,098.00 | $1,499.99 |
| Samsung S90H | OLED | $1,297.99 | $1,597.99 |
| Hisense S7 CanvasTV (55S7SG) | Hi-QLED, matte | $747.99 | $1,499.99 |
| Hisense E7 Cinema (55E7SF) | Hi-QLED Mini-LED | $447.99 | $749.99 |
The Samsung S90H is the only other OLED here, and it carries two caveats. It costs $199.99 more, and its buy box belongs to marketplace seller Walts TV with only 12 units showing.
The Hisense sets are not OLED. The S7 CanvasTV trades contrast for an anti-glare matte panel and an art mode, while the E7 Cinema is a Mini-LED set with a native 144Hz claim at $447.99. Anyone hunting a cheaper self-emissive panel can also look at the Roku Pro Series OLED at 55 inches.
Several numbers buyers usually want are missing. Sony publishes no brightness figure in nits for the K-55A60, names no processor on the product page, and does not state per-port HDMI bandwidth or which port carries eARC. Speaker wattage and measured input lag are not listed either.
Amazon gives no end date for the discount and no remaining stock count. All prices here were checked on October 18 and can change without notice.
