Slay the Spire 2 Tops Steam Deck's Most Played Games in October 2026 as Three New Titles Enter the Rankings

Valve's Steam Deck gaming rankings for October 2026 have revealed that Slay the Spire 2 was the most played title on the handheld, ahead of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered and Cyberpunk 2077.

The latest list, covering October 2 through October 31, shows that established favorites continue to dominate Steam Deck activity, although three recently released games managed to enter the top 20.

Final Fantasy Resonance, Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, and Dressmaker are the newest additions to the rankings, replacing Megabonk, Hades 2, and Diablo 4.

The results highlight the continued popularity of role playing games, indie titles, and games that support shorter handheld play sessions.

Slay the Spire 2 Leads Steam Deck's October Rankings

Slay the Spire 2 secured first place during October, continuing the popularity of deckbuilding games among Steam Deck players.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered followed in second place, while Cyberpunk 2077 ranked third.

Stardew Valley claimed fourth position, with The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth completing the top five.

Baldur's Gate 3 remained another popular choice, securing sixth place despite its demanding hardware requirements.

The full rankings also feature long established titles such as Skyrim Special Edition, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Elden Ring.

Final Fantasy Resonance and Castlevania Enter the Top 20

Final Fantasy Resonance made one of the strongest debuts among October's newcomers, reaching seventh place.

The result places it ahead of several established Steam Deck favorites, including Balatro, Skyrim Special Edition, and Valheim.

Castlevania: Belmont's Curse also entered the rankings at number 12.

Although the game has some technical and interface limitations on Steam Deck, it remains playable and has attracted enough activity to secure a position among the month's most popular titles.

Dressmaker is the third newcomer, entering at number 17.

Its inclusion adds further variety to the rankings, which otherwise remain largely unchanged from September.

Only Three Games Dropped Out of the Rankings

Despite several new releases arriving throughout October, just three titles disappeared from the previous month's top 20.

Megabonk, Hades 2, and Diablo 4 were replaced by the month's three newcomers.

This suggests that Steam Deck players continue returning to familiar games even when newer releases become available.

Titles such as Stardew Valley, Vampire Survivors, and Balatro remain particularly well suited to portable gaming because they allow players to make progress during relatively short sessions.

Meanwhile, demanding games such as Cyberpunk 2077 and Baldur's Gate 3 demonstrate the handheld's continued appeal for larger PC experiences.

The October rankings show a combination of new releases and long established favorites, with Slay the Spire 2 maintaining the top position.

With additional major games scheduled for November, the next monthly rankings could reveal whether October's newcomers maintain their positions or make room for another group of releases.
