Xbox players will lose access to online services in several games during November and December 2026, with Call of Duty: Warzone and NBA 2K25 among the titles affected.
The upcoming changes also include the removal of in-game purchases from Synduality: Echo of Ada, although its servers will remain operational until May 2027.
Meanwhile, two Street Outlaws games are scheduled to disappear from the Xbox Store before the end of December, preventing new digital purchases.
These changes highlight the importance of distinguishing between server shutdowns and digital store delistings, as they can affect access to purchased games in different ways.
Call of Duty Warzone Will Shut Down on Xbox One on November 6
Call of Duty: Warzone is the most notable title affected by the upcoming shutdown schedule.
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions are scheduled to lose their online services on November 6, 2026, coinciding with the beginning of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1.
The shutdown was previously announced, giving players time to prepare for the end of support on older console hardware.
Because Warzone depends on online servers for its core gameplay, the closure will prevent affected console owners from continuing to play the game on those platforms.
The announcement concerns the older console versions rather than a complete shutdown of Warzone across every supported platform.
NBA 2K25 and Synduality Face Changes in December
NBA 2K25 is scheduled to lose its online servers on December 31, 2026.
The closure will affect features that depend on online connectivity, although the availability of individual offline modes will depend on how the game handles server access.
Synduality: Echo of Ada faces a different change on December 18.
Its in-game purchases will be disabled on that date, but its servers are not scheduled to close until May 2027.
This gives players additional time to access the game before its planned shutdown.
| Game | Date | Scheduled change |
|---|---|---|
| Call of Duty: Warzone on Xbox One | November 6, 2026 | Online services shut down |
| Synduality: Echo of Ada | December 18, 2026 | In-game purchases disabled |
| NBA 2K25 | December 31, 2026 | Online servers shut down |
| New World: Aeternum | End of January 2027 | Online servers shut down |
| Synduality: Echo of Ada | May 2027 | Full server closure planned |
Two Street Outlaws Games Will Leave the Xbox Store
Alongside the server closures, Street Outlaws and Street Outlaws 2 are scheduled for delisting at the end of December 2026.
Once removed, these games will no longer be available for new digital purchases through the Xbox Store.

Players who already own digital copies should generally retain the ability to download their purchased games again, subject to Microsoft's licensing and availability policies.
However, anyone interested in buying either title digitally will need to do so before the delisting takes effect.
Store delistings do not necessarily mean that a game's servers are shutting down or that previously purchased copies will stop working.
New World Aeternum Will Close in January 2027
Amazon's New World: Aeternum is also approaching its announced server shutdown at the end of January 2027.
Although the closure falls outside the November and December schedule, it is worth highlighting because the online RPG depends heavily on server connectivity.
Players who want to finish remaining activities or spend their remaining time in the game should be aware of the approaching deadline.
Further shutdown announcements may arrive before the end of the year, as publishers sometimes provide relatively short notice before discontinuing online services.
For Xbox owners, the upcoming changes are a reminder to check the status of games that depend on servers, particularly when considering purchases or returning to older titles.
