At its CES 2026 First Look event, Samsung showcased two headline-grabbing products that underline its push toward ultra-premium displays and experimental mobile form factors: a massive 130-inch Micro RGB TV and the Galaxy Z TriFold smartphone.
A 130-inch Micro RGB TV aimed at the ultra-premium segment
Samsung’s new 130-inch Micro RGB TV marks the company’s most ambitious television reveal yet. The display uses a Micro RGB architecture designed to deliver improved color precision, higher brightness, and more accurate contrast compared to traditional LED and OLED panels.
The TV features a minimalist “Timeless Frame” design that makes the panel appear more like a floating window than a conventional television. Samsung pairs the giant screen with advanced AI picture processing, using its latest Micro RGB AI engine to dynamically optimize color, contrast, and clarity depending on what you watch.
Audio also gets a boost through speakers built directly into the frame, which helps align sound with the enormous picture. Samsung positions the TV as a statement product for luxury homes, commercial installations, and showcase spaces, although the company has not shared pricing or availability details.
Galaxy Z TriFold brings a new foldable form factor
Alongside its display showcase, Samsung highlighted the Galaxy Z TriFold, its first tri-folding smartphone. The device folds twice to transform from a compact phone into a tablet-sized display measuring around 10 inches when fully opened.
Samsung designed the TriFold to support multitasking, entertainment, and productivity on a single device. The large internal screen runs at a high refresh rate and works with Galaxy AI features optimized for split-screen apps and larger workflows. When folded, the device remains pocketable, addressing one of the main criticisms of earlier large foldables.
The Galaxy Z TriFold remains a limited-availability product, with Samsung focusing on select markets as it refines manufacturing and software support.
“Companion to AI Living” takes center stage
Both products fit into Samsung’s broader CES 2026 theme, which centers on its vision of AI-driven experiences across screens, devices, and the smart home. At the First Look event, the company emphasized tighter integration between TVs, smartphones, and connected appliances, with AI acting as the unifying layer.
Rather than focusing only on raw specifications, Samsung framed its announcements around how AI can personalize viewing, simplify multitasking, and connect devices more naturally in daily life.
What’s next
Samsung has not confirmed launch timelines or pricing for the 130-inch Micro RGB TV, suggesting it will remain a niche, ultra-premium product. The Galaxy Z TriFold, meanwhile, hints at where foldable smartphones may go next, even if widespread adoption remains a few generations away.
Together, the two reveals signal Samsung’s intent to lead both ends of the spectrum at CES 2026: pushing living-room displays to unprecedented sizes while experimenting with bold new mobile designs.
