Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 512GB Drops to $1,849.99 at Amazon, Matching Samsung's Own Price

Amazon is selling the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 with 512GB of storage for $1,849.99, against a $2,099.99 list price. That works out to a 12 percent cut, but it is not an undercut of Samsung, because Samsung's own store sells the identical Graphite unit for the same $1,849.99.

The listing covers the standard Z Fold8 rather than the Fold8 Ultra, in Graphite, with 512GB of storage and 12GB of memory. It is the phone on its own, with no earbuds bundled in.

Amazon's product table lists the handset as unlocked for all carriers on 5G, so no carrier activation is required. This is the US retail unit rather than an import, with Samsung Electronics named as the manufacturer and a one year warranty listed.

Amazon itself holds the buy box, listed as shipper and seller, so no marketplace reseller is involved. The price is open to all shoppers and is not restricted to Prime members, unlike the Prime-gated Samsung Odyssey G4 monitor deal.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 specifications

Samsung says the Z Fold8 runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, the same silicon family behind Qualcomm's recent mobile performance gains. The full configuration is below, drawn from Samsung's own product pages.

The 256GB Graphite model costs more on Amazon

The odd part of this listing sits one tier below it. Amazon's 256GB Graphite Z Fold8 reads $1,911.62, which is $61.63 more than this 512GB unit, with no discount badge at all.

Samsung sells that same 256GB phone for $1,649.99. Amazon's own 256GB Lavender version also sits at $1,649.99, so the overcharge is specific to the Graphite 256GB listing rather than to the storage tier.

The other 512GB colours on Amazon match the Graphite price. Lavender and Cream both read $1,849.99, with Amazon in the buy box.

How it compares with Samsung's other foldables

Every price below was checked on October 5, 2026, and Amazon holds the buy box on all of them. No marketplace seller sits behind any of these listings.

ModelStorageAmazonSamsung
Galaxy Z Fold8, Graphite512GB$1,849.99$1,849.99
Galaxy Z Fold8, Lavender256GB$1,649.99$1,649.99

Galaxy Z Flip8, Graphite256GB$1,049.99$1,049.99
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Graphite512GB$2,989.99Not confirmed

The 256GB Lavender Z Fold8 at $1,649.99 is the cheaper route to the same phone, if half the storage is enough. The Galaxy Z Flip8 at $1,049.99 is the clamshell alternative, cut from a $1,199.99 list price and also matched by Samsung.

At the top sits the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra with 512GB at $2,989.99, with no list price shown. Samsung's own figure for that configuration could not be confirmed, so the gap between the two retailers there is unclear.

What the Amazon listing leaves out

The listing never states that Samsung charges the same $1,849.99, so the 12 percent badge reads as an Amazon cut when it is not one. The $2,099.99 anchor is Samsung's launch price for this tier, and neither retailer charges it now.

The bullets also skip the numbers that matter most on a foldable. Battery capacity, charging wattage, the IP48 rating, the weight, the folded thickness and the cover screen size are all absent, as are the pixel resolutions of either display, which Samsung does not publish either.

Samsung's own pages disagree with themselves in two places. The US pages quote 3,000 nits of peak brightness while the Singapore page says 2,600 nits, and a Samsung business page cites a 5,000mAh battery against the 4,800 mAh on its consumer spec guide.

One more omission is easy to miss at this price. The box holds the phone, a quick start guide, a SIM tray ejector and a USB cable, with no wall charger, so the 45W figure needs a charger bought separately.

Amazon has not published an end date for the discount, and prices on foldables move quickly, as the carrier band confusion around rival foldables reaching the US has shown. Stock was listed as in stock at the time of writing.
