Samsung Galaxy A37 5G Drops to $389.99 at Amazon, Matching Samsung's Own Price Exactly

The unlocked Samsung Galaxy A37 5G with 128GB of storage is $389.99 at Amazon, down from a $489.99 list price. That 20 percent cut is not an Amazon exclusive, because Samsung and Best Buy are asking the same $389.99 for the identical model.

The configuration is the Awesome Charcoal SM-A376UZAAXAA, with 6GB of memory, 128GB of storage and a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen. Amazon.com holds the buy box and the listing shows the phone in stock, so this is a first-party sale rather than a marketplace offer.

The $489.99 anchor is a price somebody still charges

Amazon shows the saving against a $489.99 list price, and that figure survives a check. Samsung's own store lists the phone as reduced from $489.99, Best Buy prints a comparison value of $489.99, and AT&T's product page offers a full retail price of $489.99.

What has changed is how deep the discount goes. A larger cut of roughly 29 percent has been reported around the recent Amazon sales event, and the live listing now reads 20 percent, which is also the standing price at Samsung and Best Buy.

One listing does go lower. Walmart carries the same Awesome Charcoal unit at $357.97. It is sold and shipped by a third-party store with a single seller review, and the only other seller on that page wants $485.53.

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G specifications

Samsung's spec sheet for this exact SKU fills in what the retail listing skips. The headline figure is the refresh rate, which Amazon never mentions.

Samsung says the panel reaches up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness, and the company puts the charging figure at 60 percent in 30 minutes. The six OS upgrades and six years of security patches are the strongest part of the package at this price.

What the Amazon listing leaves out

The product title and bullets never state the 120Hz refresh rate or the 6GB of memory. Both matter, because 120Hz is the main reason to pick this over cheaper AMOLED phones and 6GB is the configuration's clearest limit.

The listing also calls the camera an advanced triple-lens system without saying that the third lens is a 5MP macro. According to Samsung's spec feed, the other two are a 50MP wide with optical stabilisation and an 8MP ultra wide.

Two more omissions are worth knowing before ordering. Samsung's own footnote says the 45W Super Fast Charger is sold separately, and the spec sheet lists no microSD slot, no 3.5mm jack and no mmWave 5G band.

How it compares with other unlocked phones

The cheaper sibling barely undercuts it. Samsung sells the Galaxy A27 5G with the same 6GB and 128GB for $379.99. That $10 saving costs the Exynos 1480 and drops the ultra wide camera from 8MP to 5MP, as this first look at the Galaxy A27 5G noted.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G 128GB$449.99 at Samsung8GB RAM, 12MP ultra wide, 179g

The Motorola edge 2025 at $349.99 is sold by Best Buy itself and doubles the storage. Motorola does not promise Samsung's six years of updates, though. Spending up instead gets the Galaxy A57 5G at $449.99, which Digital Citizen covered when it reached the same price on Amazon.

A Google Pixel 10a is not really in this bracket right now, at $524 for the 128GB unlocked model at Best Buy. Readers weighing an older option can compare against the Galaxy A35 review for how this line has progressed.

Neither Amazon nor Samsung publishes an end date for the $389.99 price, and the listing does not say how long the $489.99 comparison has been in place. Amazon price history for this model could not be checked, so there is no basis for calling this a low point.

Prices were accurate as of October 8, 2026, and all three retailers can change them without notice.
