Samsung's 55-inch M70H mini-LED TV is listed at $299.99 on Amazon at the time of writing, but the number that matters is $30. That is how far the listing sits below the $329.99 Samsung is charging for the same set on its own store.
The set is a 2026 model and the Amazon page identifies it as UN55M70HAFXZA, the mainline SKU. Samsung sells that exact code from its own Mini LED range, which settles the question a $299.99 mini-LED price tends to raise.
Amazon frames the deal as 14 percent off a $347.99 list price, a saving of $48. Against the $449.99 that Samsung shows struck through on its own page, the gap is $150.
The mini-LED backlight is confirmed by Samsung, not just the title
Cheap sets branded mini-LED do not always have the backlight to match. Samsung's own spec sheet for the M70H lists the contrast technology as Mini LED and the dimming as Supreme Mini LED Dimming.
So the backlight claim holds up at the source. What Samsung does not publish is a dimming zone count, and that figure is the usual way to tell a serious mini-LED array from a thin one.
For context on where $299.99 sits, a 55-inch LG QNED73B mini-LED set recently fell to $379.99, and TCL's 55-inch QM64L dropped below $500. Mini-LED at this size is no longer a premium-only feature.

The 120Hz figure needs reading carefully
The Amazon bullets advertise Motion Xcelerator plus DLG 120Hz. Samsung's spec table is blunter, giving a refresh rate of 60 Hz and listing DLG 120 Hz as a separate line.
DLG stands for Dual Line Gate. It reaches a higher refresh by halving vertical resolution, so the panel never runs natively at 120Hz.
Amazon's own product information panel does not help. One row there reads 120 hertz while another row in the same panel reads 60, and Samsung's figure is the one to go by.
The port list points the same way. Samsung rates all three HDMI inputs at 4K 60Hz, so a PS5 or a Series X will not get a 4K 120 signal into this set.
How it compares with other 55-inch sets
All three prices below were checked on Amazon on the same day, and Amazon.com held the buy box on each one.

The Hisense 55-inch E6SR costs exactly the same $299.99 and adds Dolby Vision, which the Samsung does not carry. Its listing describes Hi-QLED rather than mini-LED, so the backlight is the trade.
Samsung's own step-up, the 55-inch M80H at $547.99, brings Motion Xcelerator 144Hz and the NQ4 AI Gen2 processor. The buy box on that listing rotated to a marketplace seller during checking, so it is worth confirming who is selling before ordering.
The Toshiba 55-inch Z670R at $749.99 is the one with a native 144Hz panel and full-array local dimming. Amazon shows no list price against it, so no discount can be quoted.
What the listing does not tell you
Samsung publishes no brightness figure for the M70H, and neither page gives a dimming zone count. Amazon's product panel does quote 1,000 nits, but that number appears nowhere in Samsung's own specifications.
Panel type, measured contrast ratio, color gamut coverage and input lag are all absent too. Buyers who want a brighter or faster picture are into different money, whether that is a larger 75-inch mini-LED set or an OLED at 65 inches.
No end date is attached to the discount. Prices on Amazon and at Samsung move without notice, and both were accurate as of September 26, 2026.
