Razer has expanded its Huntsman gaming keyboard family with the Huntsman V3 Pro Low Profile Tenkeyless 8KHz, a compact model built around speed, adjustable inputs, and a much thinner design.
The keyboard uses Razer Low Profile Analog Optical Switches and supports an 8,000 Hz polling rate. Its switches offer adjustable actuation between 0.1 mm and 2.8 mm, allowing you to decide how far a key needs to travel before an input is registered. The switches are also rated for 100 million keystrokes.
At $229.99, the keyboard sits firmly in the premium gaming category. Razer is positioning it primarily for competitive players who want the capabilities of an analog gaming keyboard without the height of a conventional mechanical design.
Low profile switches are the main change
The slimmer switches are the defining feature of the new Huntsman. Their shorter travel allows the entire keyboard to sit lower on your desk while retaining adjustable analog input.
Rapid Trigger Mode is included, allowing keys to reset according to their movement rather than requiring them to return to a fixed reset point. This can make repeated directional inputs faster in games where quick movement changes matter.
Razer has also included Snap Tap and Snap Flex functionality alongside adjustable actuation. These features are aimed primarily at competitive gaming and give players more control over how simultaneous or rapidly changing inputs are interpreted.

8,000 Hz polling targets competitive gaming
The keyboard's 8,000 Hz HyperPolling support means it can report input to a connected PC up to 8,000 times per second. A conventional 1,000 Hz keyboard communicates at up to 1,000 times per second, although the practical advantage of higher polling will depend on your system, game, and individual sensitivity to latency.

Razer has paired this high polling rate with analog switches rather than conventional mechanical switches. Because the keyboard can monitor key travel, you can configure very shallow actuation for gaming or select a deeper point if you want to reduce accidental presses.
The keyboard also includes a multifunction digital dial and dedicated media controls, providing direct access to frequently used functions without requiring additional software. Per key RGB lighting is supported as well.
Razer keeps the keyboard wired
There is no wireless mode. The Huntsman V3 Pro Low Profile TKL 8KHz connects through a detachable USB Type C cable, keeping the design focused on consistent performance rather than portability without cables.
Its chassis uses a 5052 aluminum alloy top plate, while doubleshot PBT keycaps are intended to withstand extended use. Unlike some taller Huntsman models, the low profile version does not need a wrist rest to reduce its typing height.
The tenkeyless layout also removes the number pad, leaving more desk space for mouse movement. That makes the design particularly relevant for competitive shooters, where low sensitivity settings can require substantial room.
The Huntsman V3 Pro Low Profile TKL 8KHz combines several technologies Razer has already used in its performance keyboards, but places them in a noticeably thinner format. For players who value adjustable actuation, Rapid Trigger, and high polling rates, the main attraction is now getting those features without using a full height keyboard.
