Phantom Blade Zero preorders are now live, with the game available in Standard and Deluxe editions ahead of its October 29 launch on PC and PlayStation 5.

A separate State of Play presentation focused on Phantom Blade Zero is scheduled for August 17, with more gameplay and previously unseen characters expected to be shown.

Donnie Yen contributed to the combat design
S GAME says Donnie Yen has served as a creative consultant on Phantom Blade Zero since 2023.
His involvement focuses on martial arts and action choreography, with the studio using his experience to help shape the game’s combat.
Yen and his stunt team also contributed performance capture work, while Yen himself provides facial and motion capture for Mó Yuan.
That gives his role a direct connection to both the game’s combat design and one of its characters.
The latest trailer continues to emphasize fast melee encounters, weapon switching and cinematic martial arts sequences.
August 17 State of Play will show more gameplay
Sony has announced a dedicated State of Play presentation for Phantom Blade Zero on August 17.
The broadcast is scheduled for 7 PM Pacific Time and 10 PM Eastern Time. In other regions, it will air on August 18 at 3 AM BST, 10 AM Beijing time and 11 AM JST.
S GAME says the presentation will go beyond what was shown in the preorder trailer.

The gameplay deep dive is expected to introduce previously unseen characters that are important to the story and demonstrate how much freedom players will have when building their combat setups.
The developer has also indicated that the trailer’s scenes, including combat on a moving wagon and a fight involving The Hunt, represent only an early portion of Soul’s journey.
Preorders arrive after development completion
The preorder launch follows the studio’s recent confirmation that development on Phantom Blade Zero has been completed.
That puts the project in its final stage ahead of release, with the remaining period likely focused on polishing, certification and launch preparation.
The game is still scheduled for October 29 on PC and PlayStation 5.
More details are still coming before launch
The new trailer and preorder rollout provide more information about editions, bonuses and Donnie Yen’s involvement, but the August 17 presentation is set to deliver a deeper look at the game itself.
S GAME is expected to show more characters, combat options and build variety during the broadcast.
With development finished and preorders now open, Phantom Blade Zero is moving into its final promotional phase before its October 29 release.
