NVIDIA is expanding GeForce NOW again, this time with new RTX 5080 powered servers rolling out in Toronto. The upgrade should improve cloud gaming access for Canadian subscribers, especially Ultimate members who want higher resolution, faster frame rates, and NVIDIA’s latest streaming features without relying on local PC hardware.
The Toronto server expansion is part of NVIDIA’s broader push to bring stronger cloud gaming performance to more regions. With the new hardware, GeForce NOW Ultimate members can access supported games at up to 4K resolution and 120 FPS on compatible displays. The service also supports features such as DLSS, ray tracing, Reflex, and other RTX technologies depending on the game.
For Canadian players, the main benefit is proximity. Cloud gaming quality depends heavily on server distance, connection stability, and latency. A new Toronto server means more players in the region should have access to lower latency and more consistent performance, especially during fast games where input response matters.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced joins GeForce NOW during a smaller weekly update
The supported game list is also growing this week, though the lineup is smaller than usual. The main addition is Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft’s remake of the 2013 pirate adventure. Players who own the game on Steam or Ubisoft Connect can now stream it through GeForce NOW instead of installing and running it locally.
That is useful for players who want to try the remake on weaker PCs, laptops, or supported devices without sacrificing high visual settings. Black Flag Resynced has already become one of Ubisoft’s biggest recent releases, so GeForce NOW support arrives at the right time.
| GeForce NOW update | Details |

| New server location | Toronto |
| Server hardware | RTX 5080 powered |
| Main benefit | Better cloud performance for Canadian subscribers |
| Ultimate tier support | Up to 4K and 120 FPS on supported displays |
| New major game | Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced |
| Other additions | Esports Manager 2026 and Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Endless Ragnarok Demo |
| Ownership requirement | You must own the game or have a supported license |
The full weekly additions include Esports Manager 2026, available on Steam from July 6, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced on Steam and Ubisoft Connect from July 9, and the Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Endless Ragnarok Demo on Steam. NVIDIA has already said more games are planned for the rest of July.
It is important to note that GeForce NOW does not work like Game Pass. The service gives you access to NVIDIA’s cloud hardware, but it does not automatically give you a library of paid games. You still need to own a supported PC copy on a connected storefront, or have access through a compatible license such as PC Game Pass where supported.

There are also monthly playtime limits depending on the membership tier. That makes GeForce NOW best suited for players who already own their games and want a stronger streaming option, rather than players looking for an all in one subscription library.
The Toronto expansion is still the bigger part of this announcement. New server locations can make GeForce NOW feel much better in real use because cloud gaming performance depends on more than raw GPU power. Stronger hardware matters, but so does how quickly your input reaches the server and how smoothly the video stream returns to your device.
For Canadian GeForce NOW members, the new RTX 5080 powered Toronto server should make the Ultimate tier more attractive. Combined with support for Black Flag Resynced, this week’s update gives NVIDIA a timely boost for both infrastructure and game availability.
