Maxsun has revealed additional specifications for two upcoming motherboards powered by Intel's Panther Lake and Wildcat Lake processors, targeting network attached storage systems and compact computing applications.
The new models, SK-PTLNAS and SK-WCLAIO, use Mobile on Desktop (MoDT) designs, allowing laptop class processors to operate on dedicated desktop motherboards.
Both products were initially showcased at Computex 2026 and are now expected to launch later in November.
The higher end Panther Lake motherboard supports up to 128GB DDR5 memory, multiple high speed storage connections and 10Gb Ethernet networking. Meanwhile, the smaller Wildcat Lake model focuses on compact dimensions and lower power consumption.
Maxsun SK-PTLNAS Supports Intel Core Ultra 9 386H and DDR5-7200
The SK-PTLNAS is designed for more demanding NAS configurations, supporting Intel Panther Lake Core Ultra Series 3 processors up to the Core Ultra 9 386H.
This processor features 16 CPU cores and four Xe3 integrated graphics cores, with a 25W base power rating and maximum turbo power of 80W.
The motherboard uses a white PCB measuring 244 × 244mm and includes a 6+4 phase power delivery configuration.

Memory support includes two SO-DIMM slots accommodating up to 128GB DDR5 RAM at speeds reaching 7200 MT/s.
Storage connectivity is particularly extensive, with five M.2 NVMe slots and three SFF-8643 Mini SAS connectors.
The board also provides a PCIe 5.0 x8 expansion connection, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports and several USB connections.
Networking includes one 10Gb Ethernet port, one 2.5Gb Ethernet port and two additional 1Gb Ethernet connections.
These features could make the motherboard suitable for storage servers requiring multiple drives and high speed network access.
Wildcat Lake SK-WCLAIO Offers a Smaller Design With 10Gb Ethernet
The SK-WCLAIO takes a different approach, using a much smaller 90 × 165mm motherboard.
It supports Intel's Core 7 350 processor, which includes two performance cores and four low power efficiency cores.
The processor also features two Xe3 integrated graphics cores, with a 15W base power rating and maximum turbo power of 35W.
Unlike the Panther Lake model, the SK-WCLAIO includes a single SO-DIMM slot supporting up to 48GB DDR5-6400 memory.
Storage options include four M.2 NVMe connections and 1TB of onboard UFS 3.1 storage.
The board also provides 10Gb Ethernet, two Thunderbolt 4 connections and support for Wi-Fi and 5G modules.
Its published specifications additionally describe USB-C power delivery and support for a 100W power adapter.
