Marvel Tokon Year One DLC Adds Venom, Jubilee, Jane Foster’s Thor and Phoenix Cyclops

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls has revealed the full lineup for its first year of downloadable characters, confirming Venom, Jubilee, Jane Foster's Thor and a Phoenix powered version of Cyclops as the four additions.

The rollout begins with Cyclops on November 2, while Jane Foster arrives during winter. Venom is planned for spring 2027 alongside a new Klyntar stage, and Jubilee will complete the Year One lineup in summer 2027.

The Year One pass costs $35 and is also included with the Deluxe and Ultimate editions of the game.

Phoenix Cyclops Will Offer a Different Take on a Familiar Fighter

Cyclops has appeared in several Marvel fighting games over the years, so the development team wanted to avoid simply repeating his usual design.

That led to the decision to use a Phoenix influenced version inspired by the Avengers vs X Men storyline.

Producer Takeshi Yamanaka explained that the team wanted a version of Cyclops that could provide different visuals and a less familiar fighting style while still preserving the core traits associated with the character.

Cyclops is designed as an all round fighter who can operate effectively at different ranges.

His Optic Blasts give him strong long range options, while his close combat attacks allow him to remain competitive when opponents move in.

The November release makes Cyclops the first post launch fighter included in the pass.

Jane Foster Brings Mjolnir to the Roster

Jane Foster's version of Thor will arrive later in the winter season.

Her design is based on the Mighty Thor interpretation from Marvel comics, with Mjolnir forming the center of her fighting style.

The first footage shows her using the hammer alongside electrical attacks associated with the God of Thunder.

Full gameplay details have not yet been revealed, so information about her exact mechanics, movement options and team role remains limited.

Her inclusion adds another character with a very different combat identity compared with the existing roster and the more balanced approach planned for Cyclops.

Venom Arrives With a New Klyntar Stage

Venom will join Marvel Tokon in spring 2027.

His release will be accompanied by Klyntar, a new stage based on the artificial planet associated with the symbiotes in some Marvel comic storylines.

The pairing gives Venom's arrival additional environmental content instead of limiting the update to a new playable fighter.

No detailed description of Venom's mechanics has been provided yet.

Given the character's traditional abilities, players can expect the developers to have considerable room to experiment with reach, mobility and symbiote based attacks, but those details have not been confirmed.

Jubilee Completes the First Year

Jubilee is scheduled for summer 2027 and will be the final character included in the Year One DLC plan.

The X Men character rounds out a lineup that covers several corners of Marvel's roster, including Spider Man related characters, Thor mythology and multiple members of the X Men.

The Year One pass costs $35 if purchased separately.

Players who own the Deluxe or Ultimate editions will already have access to these characters through those packages.

Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is available on PS5 and PC. With four DLC fighters now confirmed across the next several months, the post launch roadmap has a clear structure extending into summer 2027.
