The HyperX Cloud III S Wireless has fallen to $119.99 at Amazon in Black, a 33% cut from its $179.99 list price. The honest framing is that HyperX charges the same $119.99 for that colourway on its own store, so this is a price match rather than an Amazon exclusive.

Only the Black version, HyperX SKU A59YZAA, gets that figure. Amazon.com holds the buy box, the listing shows the headset in stock, and delivery is free.
What matters here is the hardware for the money. This is a 53mm-driver wireless headset with both a 2.4GHz dongle and Bluetooth 5.3, priced about $20 above HyperX's list price for the wired Cloud III.
What the $119.99 price really represents
The $179.99 anchor is not invented. HyperX still sells the Black-Blue version of this exact headset for $179.99 and lists $179.99 as the compare-at price on five of its six colourways.
The Black version is a different case. A public price-tracking record for this same listing shows it at $119.99 in December 2025, measured against the same $179.99 anchor.
So $119.99 is a floor this listing has already hit, not a first. Other retailers have been reported closer to $150 for the Black unit in recent months, which puts the realistic saving nearer $30 than $60.
HyperX is also running a 25% site code, and it does not apply. Its terms limit it to select full-price products, and the Black Cloud III S is neither full price nor on the code's product list.

HyperX rates the 120-hour figure at 50% headphone volume with continuous playback, and says real battery life varies. The frame is stainless steel with aluminium forks, and the earcup plates come off for swapping.
The software catch for console players
Amazon's listing promotes a lifetime DTS Headphone:X spatial audio activation on PC. HyperX's own product and spec page for this model never mentions DTS or spatial audio anywhere, and lists only NGENUITY under software compatibility.
That gap matters because NGENUITY is Windows software. HyperX states plainly that the app is available only on Windows, and that macOS, Linux and console users are left with whatever onboard profiles a device already holds.
On PS5, Switch, Mac or a phone, then, this is a stereo headset with onboard controls. Anyone wanting EQ tweaks, mic tuning or a spatial mode first needs a Windows PC, and DC has a separate guide on enabling DTS audio in Windows 11.
There is also no 3.5mm jack. The bundled USB-C cable charges the headset rather than carrying audio, so a flat battery means silence.
How it stacks up against other wireless headsets near $120
| Headset | Price | Connection | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|
| HyperX Cloud III S Wireless | $119.99 | 2.4GHz and Bluetooth 5.3 | PC, Mac, PS5, Switch, mobile |
| SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless | $113.99 | Wireless, multi-system | PC and PlayStation |
| Corsair Void v2 Wireless | $108.31 | Wireless and Bluetooth | PC, PS5, Switch |
| HyperX Cloud III (wired) | $57.99 | USB-C, USB-A, 3.5mm | PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S |
The closest rival is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5 Wireless at $113.99, which undercuts this deal by $6. The Corsair Void v2 Wireless at $108.31 saves a little more, and DC covered the same model at $89.99 in a recent Corsair VOID Wireless v2 deal.
Budget buyers should weigh the wired Cloud III at $57.99, which DC flagged in a separate HyperX Cloud III deal. Xbox owners are excluded from the Cloud III S entirely, and should look instead at DC's RIG 800 PRO HX coverage at $99.00.
What the listing does not say
The 200-hour Bluetooth figure in the product title appears only in HyperX's marketing copy. Its published battery specification table lists the 120-hour 2.4GHz number and nothing else, with no separate test conditions for the longer claim.
Neither party publishes impedance, battery capacity in mAh, or a combined weight with the mic attached. No active noise cancelling is claimed, and the Amazon page carries no end date, no countdown and no stock counter.
Prices are accurate as of October 8, 2026, and both retailers can change them without notice. Given that this listing has sat at $119.99 before, another run at the same number later is plausible.
