HKC has shown a new 27 inch gaming monitor called the Shield 27Q560, combining a 2560 × 1440 resolution with refresh rates far beyond what most current displays offer.
The monitor can run at up to 560Hz at its native 1440p resolution. Switching to 1280 × 720 raises the maximum refresh rate to 1060Hz through a dual mode configuration.
The Shield 27Q560 was demonstrated at IFA 2026 and is planned for release in China in November 2026. Pricing has not yet been announced.
1060Hz mode requires a drop to 720p
The main feature of the Shield 27Q560 is its ability to cross the 1000Hz mark, although that mode is limited to 720p.
At 2560 × 1440, the display tops out at 560Hz, which is still well above the refresh rates found on most gaming monitors.
At 1280 × 720, the monitor increases that ceiling to 1060Hz.
This puts HKC among the growing number of display makers experimenting with extremely high refresh rates aimed primarily at competitive gaming.

HKC uses an Oxide IPS panel
The Shield 27Q560 uses what HKC describes as an Oxide IPS panel with a glossy finish.
The display is rated for a 1ms gray to gray response time and supports wide color coverage, with 98% of the DCI P3 color space claimed.
The monitor is also listed with 10 bit color support, although another report describes the implementation as 8 bit plus FRC.
DisplayHDR 400 certification has also been reported.
These specifications position the Shield 27Q560 as more than a simple high refresh esports monitor, although its primary appeal will still be its extreme refresh rate modes.
Connectivity includes DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1
HKC has equipped the monitor with one DisplayPort 2.1 connector and two HDMI 2.1 ports.
The exact bandwidth available through the DisplayPort connection has not been confirmed.
There is also a USB Type C port for data connectivity with 15W power delivery, along with a headphone output.
The relatively low USB Type C power figure means the port is more suitable for basic peripheral or device connectivity than charging a higher power laptop.
HKC plans a China launch in November
The Shield 27Q560 is expected to launch in China in November 2026.
Availability outside China has not been confirmed.
An international launch may follow later, with one estimate pointing to the first quarter of 2027, but HKC has not officially provided a global release schedule.
Pricing is also still unknown.
The Shield 27Q560 enters an increasingly competitive segment of ultra high refresh monitors. Its combination of 560Hz at 1440p and 1060Hz at 720p gives buyers two very different modes, with one prioritizing image sharpness and the other pushing refresh rate as far as possible.
