Ghost of Yōtei is getting a Complete Edition on October 1, 2026, with a new story expansion, a survival mode, extra gear, additional cosmetics and other anniversary content.
The full package will cost $69.99 and includes the base game, Ghost of Yōtei Legends, previously released Digital Deluxe content and the new expansion material.
If you already own the base game, you can access the new content through a $14.99 Complete Edition Upgrade.

Echoes of Sekigahara expands Atsu’s story
The main addition is Echoes of Sekigahara, a narrative expansion that moves between the present day and Atsu’s earlier experiences on the mainland.
In the present timeline, Atsu investigates a previously unknown valley that once belonged to The Snake and his followers, known as the Vipers.
The flashback sections explore Atsu’s involvement in the Battle of Sekigahara and an important period in her life before she returned home to pursue revenge.
A new character named Nagato plays a major role in the expansion and has ties to Atsu’s past.
The expansion will also add new enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes and other equipment.
Most Wanted adds a survival roguelike mode
The Complete Edition also introduces Most Wanted, a new survival mode with roguelike elements.
You begin runs by taking on bounties, while defeating enemies grants perks and helps unlock additional playable characters.
Several characters have already been shown with distinct combat styles.
Atsu uses dual katanas, Oyuki specializes in the kusarigama and Nagato fights with a yari.
More details about the mode are expected closer to release.
Existing owners can upgrade for $14.99
Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei do not need to buy the full $69.99 edition again.
The Complete Edition Upgrade costs $14.99 and includes Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
The full Complete Edition also includes Ghost of Yōtei Legends and content that was previously part of the Digital Deluxe Edition, including the Charm of Hokkyokusei.
Anyone who purchases before September 30 will receive an early unlock of the Sakai Armor for Atsu when the new content launches on October 1.
The armor is a reference to Jin’s family equipment from Ghost of Tsushima.
New music, cosmetics and Trophies are included
The Complete Edition adds new tracks for Watanabe Mode, with the music available throughout the game once the mode is activated.
Photo Mode receives additional stamps, while New Game+ gets extra cosmetic items.
New Trophies are also being added for both Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.
These additions sit alongside the larger expansion and survival content rather than replacing existing systems.
Free October 1 patch adds features for all owners
Players who choose not to buy the $14.99 upgrade will still receive a free patch on October 1.
The update introduces Beauty of Yōtei, a mode that presents Ezo’s environments in a screensaver style format while still allowing you to capture images through Photo Mode.
The patch also includes quality of life improvements.
One of the most useful additions is the ability to use the appearance of one armor set while keeping the statistics of another.
A new high contrast accessibility option is also being added.
The Complete Edition therefore combines paid expansion content with free improvements for existing players.
For returning players, the $14.99 upgrade provides the new story expansion and Most Wanted mode, while the free October 1 patch ensures that the base game also receives several new features on its first anniversary.
