Five Xbox games are scheduled to lose their online services during August 2026, with shutdowns spread across August 20, August 25, and August 31.
The affected games are NBA 2K Playgrounds 2, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, Warface: Clutch, NHL 22, and NHL 23. Once their respective shutdown dates arrive, online functionality will no longer be available.

Warface Clutch will disappear on August 25
Warface: Clutch is another notable game on the list because it is a free to play shooter.
Its developer has previously acknowledged that ending support was not an easy decision, but the game is still scheduled to have its servers switched off on August 25.
Anyone interested in trying the shooter therefore has only a limited period left before its online functionality disappears.
The shutdown also matters more for games that depend heavily on network features, as losing their servers can remove a significant part of the overall experience.
More Xbox shutdowns are expected in September
August may not be the end of the server closure schedule.
Several games are already expected to lose online support in September, including HAWKED, GRID Legends, and Sociable Soccer 25.
Additional shutdowns could also be announced before the end of August, so the current five game list may still change.
For now, August 20 is the first date players need to watch. NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 and WWE 2K Battlegrounds will be affected first, followed by Warface: Clutch on August 25 and the two NHL titles on August 31.
