Echo Generation Midnight Edition and Luto Are Free on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games Store has refreshed its weekly giveaway with two more PC games available to claim for free. Echo Generation Midnight Edition and Luto can be added to your library until July 23, 2026.

Once claimed, both games remain linked to your Epic Games Store account permanently. You do not need to install or play them before the promotion ends, but they must be added to your library during the free period.

The new offers replace Nova Lands and Tattoo Tycoon, which were available during the previous week. Epic has also confirmed that Foretales will become the next free PC game when the current promotion ends.

Echo Generation Midnight Edition mixes turn based battles with a 1990s mystery

Echo Generation Midnight Edition is a turn based adventure set in a small town during the 1990s. You play as a young character who joins a group of friends to investigate a mysterious crash and the strange events that follow.

The journey includes battles against unusual enemies such as monsters, aliens, and talking animals. Combat follows a turn based system, while exploration is focused on completing quests, uncovering secrets, and helping local characters around Maple Town.

The Midnight Edition is an enhanced version of the original Echo Generation. It includes updated visuals and several improvements designed to make exploration easier.

Fast travel reduces the time needed to move between previously visited areas, while the quest tracker makes unfinished objectives easier to follow. These additions address some of the original version’s pacing and navigation limitations.

The story focuses on family, friendship, and growing up, but it also includes supernatural events and darker mysteries. Its colourful visual style and 1990s setting give the game a nostalgic atmosphere despite the unusual creatures and dangerous encounters.

Luto delivers psychological horror without relying heavily on jump scares

The second free game, Luto, is a first person psychological horror experience developed by Broken Bird Games. It places you inside a house that appears impossible to escape.

Every attempt to leave takes you deeper into a changing environment filled with confusing paths and hidden details. The game is designed around an unsettling atmosphere rather than frequent action or constant jump scares.

Its story explores difficult subjects including anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional isolation. The house changes as you investigate it, making rooms and pathways feel increasingly unreliable.

Luto asks you to examine the environment closely, solve puzzles, and question whether what you are seeing is real. The experience appears to be aimed at players who enjoy slower horror games built around tension, symbolism, and environmental storytelling.

The lack of traditional combat keeps the focus on exploration and the central mystery. You must continue moving through the house, gathering information and uncovering the truth behind the character’s situation.

Both games can be claimed until July 23

Echo Generation Midnight Edition and Luto are available free of charge on the Epic Games Store until July 23. The promotion should end at the usual weekly refresh time, after which Foretales will replace them.

To claim the games, you need an Epic Games account. You can add them to your library through the store page without downloading them immediately.

Epic also continues to offer separate weekly giveaways through its mobile store on supported Android and iOS devices. Those promotions may include different games from the PC selection.

This week’s pair provides two very different experiences. Echo Generation offers turn based battles, colourful exploration, and a nostalgic small town story, while Luto focuses on psychological horror and a darker narrative.

Both games are yours to keep after claiming them, making the current giveaway worth checking even if you do not plan to play them immediately.
