dBrand has released a new collection of skins made specifically for the Steam Machine, giving owners more ways to customise Valve’s living room gaming PC.
The range includes nine original designs created around the shape and style of the Steam Machine. Most are also available with matching skins for the Steam Controller, allowing buyers to apply the same theme across both devices.
The new collection arrives after dBrand cancelled its planned Companion Cube case. That accessory was inspired by Portal but did not move forward after the company failed to secure approval from Valve. The cancellation has not stopped dBrand from developing other Steam Machine accessories, and the new skins provide a simpler way to change the appearance of the hardware.

Nine designs were created specifically for the Steam Machine
The dedicated Steam Machine range includes Basketbox, Terminal, Flat Earth, Bricks, White Dice, Black Dice, Package, Orange Box and Touch Grass.
Each design uses the shape of the system as part of its presentation. Some imitate packaging, computer interfaces or familiar patterns, while others focus on bold colours and playful visual ideas.
Terminal gives the system a technical appearance inspired by computer command screens. Package makes the Steam Machine look like a labelled parcel, while Bricks covers the exterior with a block pattern.
Orange Box uses a colour and name closely associated with Valve’s game history. Touch Grass takes a more humorous direction, applying a green outdoor theme to the compact gaming PC.
The White Dice and Black Dice options use contrasting geometric patterns. Basketbox and Flat Earth complete the collection with designs that are less conventional than a standard solid colour wrap.
The availability of matching controller skins makes the collection feel more complete. Owners can keep the Steam Controller visually connected to the main system instead of using an unrelated design.
Classic dBrand finishes are also available
Alongside the nine Steam Machine specific themes, dBrand is adapting several of its existing designs for Valve’s hardware.
The company is also bringing back pastel colours, including Sunset Red, Seafoam Green and Kind of Purple. These provide a simpler option for buyers who prefer a clean colour change rather than a detailed printed design.
Hydrodip patterns are available as well, adding more varied and colourful surfaces. This means the total selection extends beyond the nine designs created exclusively for the Steam Machine.
The faceplate only package is the cheapest option at $17.95. It changes the most visible front section without covering the entire device.
A full system skin costs $34.95. Buyers who also want a matching controller design can pay $44.95, which is only $10 more than the complete Steam Machine wrap.
That pricing makes the controller bundle the more practical option for anyone already planning to cover the entire system. However, owners who only want a small visual change can choose the lower cost faceplate package.
Skins offer customisation without changing the hardware
These products are adhesive covers rather than replacement panels or protective cases. They change the appearance of the Steam Machine but do not add significant protection against drops or strong impacts.
A properly installed skin can help reduce minor scratches and fingerprints on the covered areas. Installation quality will depend on careful alignment, especially around edges, openings and curved sections.
The wraps should not affect cooling when applied correctly because they are cut around vents and other functional parts. Buyers should still follow the installation instructions and avoid covering any airflow openings.
dBrand has not announced replacement faceplates for the Steam Machine. The new collection focuses entirely on skins, although the company could consider more substantial accessories later.
For now, the range gives Steam Machine owners several choices beyond the standard factory finish. The combination of device specific artwork, familiar dBrand styles and matching controller options makes this one of the broader customisation collections released for Valve’s new system.
