Amazon is selling the Corsair HS65 Surround wired gaming headset for $59.99 at the time of writing, down from a $69.99 list price. The bigger story is the launch math: that price sits 25% below the $79.99 MSRP Corsair set in 2022, not just the 14% Amazon shows.

Corsair sells the same headset for the same $59.99 on its own store, so this is a price match rather than an Amazon-only discount.
This is the wired model, with a 3.5mm cable and a bundled USB adapter, not the HS65 Wireless. It pairs 50mm drivers with a fixed flip-to-mute microphone, and the adapter is what unlocks Corsair's surround and SoundID features on a computer.
How the $59.99 Corsair HS65 Surround price stacks up
Corsair announced the HS65 Surround on May 5, 2022, with a launch price of $79.99, according to its press release. The Corsair store listing now shows a regular price of $69.99, which is already $10 below that launch figure.
Amazon calculates its 14% saving against that lower $69.99 list price. Measured against the original MSRP, the $20 cut works out to 25%.
Corsair also sells the White version for $59.99, down from $69.99, while Amazon labels its Carbon unit as Black. Corsair tags this model as a bestseller on its site and lists 60-day returns plus a two-year warranty.
No price history from a primary source is available, so there is no basis for calling $59.99 a record low.

Corsair's spec table lists the headphone impedance as "32k Ohms @ 1 kHz". That is Corsair's own published figure, it is unusually high for a headset of this type, and the company has not published a corrected number.
The microphone does not detach, per Corsair's own spec field. Corsair lists support for PC, Mac, PlayStation, Xbox and mobile, and Switch use works through the standard 3.5mm plug.
What the Amazon listing claims that Corsair does not
Amazon's listing says the headset offers Dolby Atmos spatial audio on PC and support for Sony Tempest 3D audio on PS5. Corsair's own product page and 2022 press release make neither claim.
Corsair describes only "Dolby Audio 7.1 surround sound" through the included USB adapter. A footnote adds that Dolby Audio works only with Corsair iCUE software on PC and Mac, so it does not apply on consoles.
SoundID, built with Sonarworks, has the same limits. Corsair says it runs in iCUE on PC and Mac through the USB adapter, where a short listening test builds a custom sound profile.
Corsair HS65 Surround vs HS65 Wireless and other headphone deals
The shared name causes confusion, because the HS65 Wireless costs $119.99 at Corsair, exactly double this deal. It adds 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, up to 24 hours of battery on 2.4GHz or 37 hours on Bluetooth, and NVIDIA Broadcast support.
Amazon also lists two noise-cancelling alternatives at the time of writing: the Soundcore Space 2 at $129.99 and the Bose QuietComfort Headphones at $229. Neither is built around a boom microphone for gaming.
| Model | Price | Connection | Key detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Corsair HS65 Surround | $59.99 (Amazon) | 3.5mm, USB adapter | Dolby Audio 7.1 on PC and Mac, 282g |
| Corsair HS65 Wireless | $119.99 (Corsair) | 2.4GHz, Bluetooth | Up to 24 or 37 hours of battery, 275g |
| Soundcore Space 2 | $129.99 (Amazon) | Bluetooth 6.1 | ANC, up to 50 hours with ANC on |
| Bose QuietComfort Headphones | $229 (Amazon) | Bluetooth, wired cable | ANC, up to 24 hours of battery |
For a wired gaming option from another brand, the HyperX Cloud III deal at $57.99 ran earlier this month. Buyers who want wireless can look at the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Gen 2 price drop.
Those on a tighter budget can compare the NUBWO G06 and HG04L budget gaming headsets.
Who the HS65 Surround deal suits
The HS65 Surround fits PC players who want virtual 7.1 and a tunable sound profile for $59.99, with a 3.5mm cable that also works on consoles. Console-only players still get the 50mm drivers, the Discord Certified mic and the volume roller, just without Corsair's surround processing.
Neither Amazon nor Corsair publishes an end date for the $59.99 price. Prices were checked on September 18, 2026, and can change at any time.
