Apple's AirPods Pro 3 are listed at $179.00 on Amazon, which is $70.00 below the $249.00 Apple charges on its own store. The cut is not locked behind a Prime membership, and Amazon.com holds the buy box rather than a marketplace reseller.

That second detail carries most of the weight. Apple almost never discounts current AirPods directly, so the gap between the Amazon listing and Apple's own page is the entire saving.
The listing shows $179.00 against a $249.00 list price, a 28% reduction that Amazon labels a limited time deal. Price-tracking records put $179.00 at the lowest sustained figure the Pro 3 has reached, last seen around June.
One tracker also logged a brief $169.00 partway through that June event, on very limited stock. So the current price sits close to the floor rather than cleanly at it, and Digital Citizen has covered an earlier AirPods Pro 3 discount on the same pattern.
This is the AirPods Pro 3 proper, model MFHP4LL/A, and not an older Pro 2 variant. The product details list it as first available on September 8, 2025, and it ships with the MagSafe Charging Case.

What the H2 chip and the new ear tips change
Apple says the H2 chip and a redesigned tip remove up to 2x more noise than the AirPods Pro 2. The company credits a new layer of foam-infused microspheres in the tips, which now come in five sizes from XXS to L.
Transparency mode and Adaptive Audio are both present. Apple's own footnote limits Adaptive Audio to compatible devices running iOS 18, iPadOS 18 or macOS Sequoia.
The limits of that processing are worth knowing before paying for it. Digital Citizen has explained how noise cancellation actually works and where it stops helping.
Battery life and the hearing features
Apple rates the earbuds at up to 8 hours of listening with noise cancellation on, or up to 7.5 hours with Spatial Audio and head tracking. Transparency mode with the Hearing Aid feature stretches that to 10 hours.
The case takes the total to 24 hours with ANC enabled, and five minutes inside it buys about an hour of playback. According to Apple's spec page, those figures come from preproduction iPhone 17 Pro units at 50% volume with noise cancellation enabled.
Heart rate sensing is built in, using LEDs that pulse invisible light 256 times per second alongside the accelerometers. The Amazon listing says it covers up to 50 workout types.
The hearing features carry the biggest caveat. Apple states the Hearing Test and Hearing Aid features are for ages 18 and over and are not available in all regions or languages.
Live Translation is similarly limited to select languages and regions, and it needs Apple Intelligence. Neither restriction appears anywhere on the Amazon listing.
How $179 compares with rival noise-cancelling earbuds
Every alternative checked below costs more, and all of them have Amazon.com in the buy box rather than a marketplace seller. None of these prices requires a Prime membership either.
| Earbuds | Price | List price | Discount |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apple AirPods Pro 3 | $179.00 | $249.00 | 28% |
| Sony WF-1000XM5 | $198.00 | $329.99 | 40% |
| Technics EAH-AZ100 | $234.99 | $299.99 | 22% |
| Sony WF-1000XM6 | $258.00 | $329.99 | 22% |
| Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) | $299.00 | None listed | None |
The closest on price is the Sony WF-1000XM5 at $198.00, the previous Sony flagship, cut 40% from a $329.99 list price. The current WF-1000XM6 runs $258.00 and adds LDAC hi-res support that the AirPods do not offer.
The Technics EAH-AZ100 sits at $234.99, aimed at listeners who want more tuning control than Apple integration. The Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds (2nd Gen) are $299.00, with no list price shown and no discount at all, matching what Bose charges on its own site.
For buyers weighing the rest of Apple's range instead, Digital Citizen has compared the current AirPods models on price, ANC and features.
What the Amazon listing leaves out
Several specifications that Apple publishes are missing from the product page. The IP57 rating does not appear on the listing at all, nor does the Bluetooth version or the 24-hour total that the case provides.
The listing also names only the MagSafe case and USB-C, omitting the Apple Watch charger and Qi charging that Apple's spec page confirms. It does disclose that no USB-C cable or power adapter is included in the box.
No end date is published for the limited time deal, and only 13 units were left at the time of writing. Amazon prices and stock change without notice, so $179.00 may not hold.
