AOOSTAR has joined the growing list of mini PC makers preparing systems based on AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor. Its upcoming NEX495S is positioned as a high end compact machine with 16 Zen 5 CPU cores, 32 threads and support for as much as 192 GB of unified memory.
The company has only released a teaser so far, which means several important details remain unknown. Pricing, launch timing, port selection and storage options have not been confirmed.
What is clear is that the NEX495S will target the same demanding AI and workstation workloads as several other recent systems using AMD’s Gorgon Halo platform.

192 GB memory is a major part of the NEX495S
The most notable specification revealed so far is the 192 GB memory configuration.
Earlier systems built around Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processors commonly topped out at 128 GB. The newer Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 platform raises that ceiling by another 64 GB, giving compact PCs significantly more room for large AI models, professional applications and graphics workloads.
Because the memory is shared between the CPU and integrated GPU, a large portion can be allocated as graphics memory when needed. In a 192 GB configuration, close to 160 GB could potentially be available to GPU workloads depending on system settings and software requirements.
That is especially useful for local AI inference, where model size can quickly become limited by available memory rather than raw processing speed.
The Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 can deliver up to 131 TOPS of combined AI performance. The increase over the previous generation is not dramatic, but the larger memory capacity makes the platform more practical for very large language models.
AOOSTAR joins a crowded Gorgon Halo mini PC market
AOOSTAR is entering a segment that has become increasingly competitive.
Several Chinese PC makers have already introduced or announced systems using the same Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor and 192 GB memory configurations. This shows that AMD’s latest platform is quickly becoming a popular option for compact workstations aimed at developers, AI researchers and professional creators.
The NEX495S appears to use a compact box shaped chassis, although the teaser hides most of its physical design.

Connectivity has not been confirmed. Similar systems commonly include USB4, multiple USB Type A ports, WiFi 7 and more than one Ethernet connection, but those features should not be treated as confirmed for the NEX495S until AOOSTAR publishes the full specification sheet.
Pricing is another open question. A machine with the Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 and 192 GB of fast LPDDR5X memory is unlikely to be inexpensive, especially with current component costs remaining high.
The NEX495S therefore looks less like a mainstream mini PC and more like a compact workstation for people who need large memory capacity, strong integrated graphics and enough local AI performance to run demanding models without relying entirely on cloud services.
