Amazon has officially expanded its Luna cloud gaming platform to Comcast Xfinity devices in the United States, bringing console-free gaming directly to millions of living rooms. The move integrates Amazon Luna into Xfinity’s Entertainment OS, allowing users to stream games on supported TVs and set-top boxes without additional hardware.
Amazon Luna arrives on Xfinity X1 and Xumo Stream Box
Amazon Luna now works on Comcast Xfinity X1 and the Xfinity Xumo Stream Box. Users can launch Luna directly from the Xfinity interface using their voice remote or on-screen menu. The experience places cloud gaming alongside live TV, streaming apps, and on-demand content.
No console or local downloads are required. Games stream directly from Amazon’s servers, relying on a stable broadband connection.
What Xfinity customers get at launch
Xfinity users can access Luna with an existing Amazon account. Amazon Prime members receive a rotating selection of more than 50 games at no extra cost, while Luna+ subscribers unlock a larger catalog.
Available titles include major releases such as Hogwarts Legacy, along with party and family-friendly games like Jackbox Party Pack 9 and Courtroom Chaos. Amazon also highlights social-focused titles designed for shared living-room play.
Controller options and multiplayer support
Players can use standard Bluetooth controllers, including popular console gamepads. Some local multiplayer games also support joining sessions through smartphones, which lowers the barrier for group play.
Amazon positions this flexibility as a key advantage for casual and family gaming on the TV.
Why the expansion matters
The Xfinity rollout marks another step in Amazon’s renewed push for Luna after recent feature additions like GameNight, a lineup focused on local and party-style multiplayer experiences.
For Comcast, the partnership strengthens Xfinity’s role as an all-in-one entertainment platform. Comcast reports increased gaming engagement across its network, and cloud gaming fits its broader strategy to drive usage beyond traditional TV.
Availability beyond the US
Alongside the US expansion, Amazon Luna has also launched on Rogers Xfinity devices in Canada, signaling a broader North American push for the service.
What comes next
Amazon continues to position Luna as a low-friction entry point into gaming, especially for users who prefer TV-based experiences without dedicated hardware. With Luna now embedded into Xfinity devices, cloud gaming gains a much larger potential audience in the US living room.
