Dodge is bringing back the Super Bee name for the 2027 model year with a new Charger built around a 600 horsepower version of the company’s 3.0 liter twin turbo Hurricane inline six.
The 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition arrives as part of the model’s 60th anniversary and becomes the most powerful SIXPACK Charger yet. It also marks a major change from older Super Bee models, replacing naturally aspirated V8 power with a heavily upgraded forced induction six cylinder engine.
Dodge says the new model can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds.

The new engine produces 200 horsepower per liter, making it the most power dense muscle car engine Dodge has offered.
For comparison, the outgoing 2023 Charger with the 6.4 liter Hemi V8 produced 485 horsepower.
Larger turbos help push output to 600 horsepower
Dodge has made extensive changes to the Hurricane engine for Super Bee duty.
The twin Garrett turbochargers measure 56 mm and can provide up to 30 psi of boost.
The engine also receives a revised intake, a larger intercooler and unique calibration designed specifically for the higher performance model.
Those changes lift output to 600 horsepower and 531 lb ft of torque.
Power is sent through an eight speed automatic transmission and all wheel drive system.
Drivers can also switch into a rear wheel drive mode when they want a more traditional muscle car layout.
Launch control and torque reserve are included to improve acceleration from a standing start.
Chassis and cooling receive major upgrades
The additional power required more than an engine tune.
Dodge redesigned parts of the front bodywork to improve airflow through the cooling system by around 30%.
The front splitter and rear lip spoiler also generate more than 100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph.
Suspension duties are handled by Continuous Damping Control adaptive dampers using a dual valve design.
The car rides on 20 inch by 11 inch forged wheels fitted with 305 width Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires.
Stopping performance comes from 16 inch Brembo brakes.
This is the first time these track focused brakes have been included as standard equipment on a SIXPACK Charger.
Track and Drag modes change the car’s behavior
The Super Bee also receives dedicated Track and Drag driving modes.
These settings alter throttle response, suspension damping and transmission behavior depending on how the car is being used.
Track mode is designed around sustained performance and handling, while Drag mode focuses more heavily on straight line acceleration.
That gives the new Super Bee a wider range of adjustment than simply offering a fixed high performance setup.
Super Bee name returns during Charger’s 60th anniversary
The Super Bee badge has appeared on several Dodge performance cars over the decades and is closely associated with the company’s muscle car history.
The 2027 version uses that heritage while moving away from the large displacement V8 formula traditionally associated with the name.
Instead, Dodge is relying on turbocharging, all wheel drive and more sophisticated chassis technology to deliver stronger acceleration and better overall performance.
Heritage inspired exterior colors will include Sucker Punch and Diamond Black.
Exact pricing and availability have not yet been announced and are expected later in 2026.
The new Charger Super Bee therefore represents one of the clearest examples yet of how Dodge is redefining its muscle car lineup. The engine may be smaller than the V8s that came before it, but with 600 horsepower, a 3.6 second run to 60 mph and significantly upgraded chassis hardware, performance remains central to the Super Bee name.
