Xbox Game Pass already has six games confirmed for July 2026, with Palworld 1.0, Halo: Campaign Evolved, Mistfall Hunter, Ascend To ZERO, Speedrunners 2: King of Speed, and Wuthering Waves currently listed for the service. The lineup is still early, so more games may be added as Microsoft updates the month’s full schedule.
July is shaping up to be a varied month rather than a one genre drop. There is a major remake, a full version launch for a popular survival game, a dark fantasy extraction RPG, a time based roguelike, a competitive platformer, and a free to play open world RPG with Game Pass benefits.
The biggest name for many players will likely be Halo: Campaign Evolved, which is scheduled for July 28. It is a modern remake of Halo: Combat Evolved’s campaign, with updated visuals, refined controls, new cinematics, extra content, and a new three mission adventure featuring Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson.
How July 2026’s Xbox Game Pass lineup looks so far
The current July list starts with Palworld 1.0 on July 10. The game first arrived in early access in 2024 and became one of the most talked about survival games of that period. Its 1.0 release marks the move out of early access, which should make it a useful return point for players who tried it at launch and moved on.
Ascend To ZERO follows on July 13. It is an action roguelike built around time stopping combat, giving you the ability to freeze time while pushing through battles. That makes it one of the more unusual entries on the July list.
Halo: Campaign Evolved arrives later in the month on July 28, followed by Mistfall Hunter on July 29. Mistfall Hunter is a dark fantasy extraction ARPG where you build a class, collect gear, fight enemies, and try to escape with your rewards.
| Game | Date | Platforms listed | Main focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Palworld 1.0 | July 10 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Survival and creature collecting |
| Ascend To ZERO | July 13 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Time bending action roguelike |
| Halo: Campaign Evolved | July 28 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Modern Halo campaign remake |
| Mistfall Hunter | July 29 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Dark fantasy extraction ARPG |
| Speedrunners 2: King of Speed | July 2026 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Competitive platform racing |
| Wuthering Waves | July 2026 | Xbox Series X and S, PC, Cloud | Open world action RPG with Game Pass benefits |
How Halo and Palworld give the month a stronger shape
Halo: Campaign Evolved gives July a clear headline release. The remake is not only a visual upgrade. It also adds updated cinematics, expanded gameplay options, refined controls, and a new three mission story arc. For longtime Halo players, it offers a familiar campaign in a newer form. For newer players, it may be a cleaner entry point into one of Xbox’s most important series.

Palworld 1.0 is also worth watching because early access games can change a lot before their final release. The July 10 update gives the game a more complete launch moment after its earlier success. It could bring back players who wanted to wait for a more finished version.
How the rest of July adds variety to Game Pass
The remaining titles help the July lineup feel broader. Speedrunners 2: King of Speed is focused on fast competitive races with up to eight players online, local play, pick ups, movement mastery, and grappling hook based platforming.
Wuthering Waves is different because it is free to play, but it is listed with Xbox Game Pass benefits. The game is an open world action RPG where you play as Rover and travel with a cast of characters called Resonators while uncovering lost memories.
Denshattack was also delayed from June 17 to July 15, which means July’s Game Pass related calendar may keep changing. For now, Microsoft has enough confirmed for a solid early look, but the final month will likely grow as more announcements arrive.
