Xbox Free Play Days adds Deadside and Catan for the weekend

This week’s lineup includes Deadside and CATAN Console Edition. It is a smaller selection than some recent Free Play Days events, but it still gives you two very different games to check out before the promotion ends.

Deadside is an open world survival shooter set in a post apocalyptic world. You gather supplies, build bases, and fight AI enemies across the map. The game also includes both PVE and PVP servers, so you can choose whether you want a more relaxed survival experience or a tougher session with other players involved.

CATAN Console Edition is the digital version of the classic board game. It focuses on strategy, resource gathering, trading, and settlement building. You can play locally, online, or solo against AI opponents. Since the board changes each game, matches can play out differently depending on the map and player choices.

Both games require an Xbox Game Pass membership. Ultimate, Premium, and Essential members can access the Free Play Days offer.

Progress and achievements earned during the free weekend will carry over if you buy either game later. Both titles are also discounted on the Microsoft Store during the promotion.

To find the games on Xbox, open the Store, go to the Home section, choose Subscriptions, and look for the Free Play Days collection.

This week’s Free Play Days event ends on Sunday, April 10, at 11:59 pm PT.
