The Outer Worlds 2 Release Date: What we Know

Obsidian’s The Outer Worlds 2 is officially set for October 29, 2025. Players who buy the Premium Edition get up to five days of early access starting October 24.

Platforms & Game Pass
The sequel launches on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC (Steam and Battle.net). It’s a day-one title for Xbox and PC Game Pass.

Price & editions
After a brief stint at an $80 MSRP, Microsoft reverted The Outer Worlds 2 to the now-standard $69.99 price. The Premium Edition adds early access, a two-expansion DLC pass, a cosmetic pack, and a digital artbook + soundtrack.

What’s new this time
You’ll explore Arcadia, a new colony torn by corporate factions and strange rifts. Expect Obsidian’s trademark branching quests, more reactive factions, and expanded character building — all showcased during the Xbox Games Showcase and the dedicated Direct.

PC specs & download size
Minimum spec calls for a Ryzen 5 2600 / Core i5-8400, 16 GB RAM, and a GPU in the GTX 1070 / RX 5700 / Arc A580 class. Plan for a ~110 GB install on an SSD (required).
