AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D has fallen below its launch price in a new deal that also includes a 240mm liquid cooler and a copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword at no extra cost.
The processor is currently priced at $484, which is $15 below its original $499 launch price. The bundle also includes a Cooler Master 240mm AIO cooler valued at $79.99 and a copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword valued at $69.99.
For anyone planning a high performance gaming PC around AMD’s AM5 platform, the package adds more value than the CPU discount alone suggests.

Ryzen 7 9850X3D remains focused on maximum gaming performance
The Ryzen 7 9850X3D was introduced at CES 2026 as a faster version of the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.
Both processors use 8 Zen 5 cores and 16 threads with a 4.2GHz base clock, but the newer model raises the maximum boost frequency to 5.6GHz.
AMD also retains 104MB of total cache, including 96MB of 3D V Cache. That large cache remains one of the main reasons the processor performs so well in games.
The chip uses a 120W default TDP and supports DDR5 memory through AMD’s AM5 platform. It is compatible with a broad range of AMD 600 series and 800 series motherboards, which means many existing AM5 systems can use the processor without requiring an entirely new platform.
Testing has shown that the Ryzen 7 9850X3D is only modestly faster than the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The performance difference across a 16 game 1080p test suite was around 3.3 percent.
That gain is relatively small, but it is enough to place the chip ahead of more expensive Ryzen 9 X3D processors in gaming focused testing.
The free cooler improves the value of the bundle
The included 240mm AIO makes the offer more useful for buyers building a new system.
Peak power consumption in testing reached around 170W, which is manageable for a good 240mm liquid cooler during gaming and moderate workloads. Temperatures may increase under sustained multicore workloads, but this processor is primarily designed around gaming performance rather than maximum productivity throughput.
Its single CCD design also helps keep power use and cooling requirements more manageable than some higher core count alternatives.
The free copy of Onimusha: Way of the Sword adds another benefit for anyone already interested in the game.
At $484, the processor itself is only slightly cheaper than at launch. The combined value of the cooler and game makes the package more competitive, particularly for a new build where both a CPU cooler and gaming software would otherwise be separate purchases.
The Ryzen 7 9850X3D remains a specialized option. You are paying for top level gaming performance rather than a major improvement in heavily threaded productivity. For a gaming focused AM5 system, however, the lower price and bundled extras make this deal considerably more attractive than buying the processor alone at its original launch price.
