Sony’s September 2026 State of Play included several games that are also coming to Xbox and PC, with new trailers, release dates, gameplay footage, and expansion details.
The event covered major titles including Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance, Metro 2039, Maneater 2, Final Fantasy Resonance, Gundam Rogue Orbit, Rhapsody in Scarlet, and Final Fantasy VII: Revelation.
Several of these games already have confirmed 2026 or 2027 launch dates.

Metro 2039 Gets Its First Gameplay Reveal
Metro 2039 received its first major gameplay showcase.
The game is a first person shooter set in a post apocalyptic version of Moscow and continues the series’ focus on survival, exploration, hostile environments, and combat.
It is scheduled to launch on February 4, 2027, for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Maneater 2 Brings Back the Shark Action
Maneater 2 was also announced.
The sequel continues the unusual action RPG concept of controlling a shark and attacking humans and other creatures in an open environment.
This time, the setting includes a seaside theme park populated by holiday visitors and mutated predators.
Maneater 2 is planned for 2027 on Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Crimson Desert Is Getting a New Expansion
Crimson Desert will receive a DLC expansion called Charting the Unknown.
The expansion adds new areas across land and sea, additional combat abilities, and large boss encounters.
It is scheduled to release on October 15, 2026, for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Final Fantasy Resonance Gets a Demo
Final Fantasy Resonance, described as the first HD 2D entry in the series, received another gameplay trailer and a playable demo.
The full game launches on October 22, 2026.
One notable reveal is that Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII will appear as a boss.
The game is coming to Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
Gundam Rogue Orbit Launches in March 2027
Gundam Rogue Orbit is a single player action game built around a customizable Gundam called Helix.
Players will fight large groups of enemies and bosses while changing weapons and equipment.
The game tells an original Gundam story designed to work for both newcomers and long time fans.
It launches on March 5, 2027, for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
Konami Reveals Rhapsody in Scarlet
Rhapsody in Scarlet is a new action game set in 1920s New York City.
Players take the role of Ellie Myers, a magus who works as a lounge singer while fighting demonic creatures.
Combat involves magic and summoned elemental beasts.
The game is confirmed for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, and PC, though no release date was announced.
Monster Hunter and Final Fantasy VII Also Get Major Updates
Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance received another trailer showing its new areas, Boost Bracer combat system, and monsters including Kushala Daora and Lao Shan Lung.
The expansion launches in 2027.
Final Fantasy VII: Revelation closed the event with new combat and story footage.
The final chapter of the remake trilogy launches on April 8, 2027, for Xbox Series X and Series S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
The September State of Play therefore offered a substantial number of announcements for players outside PlayStation, with several major Xbox and PC releases now having firm dates heading into late 2026 and 2027.
