Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Essential games for June 2026, and the lineup includes a notable Xbox published title. The three games coming to the service are Grounded Fully Yolked Edition, Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2, and Warhammer 40,000 Darktide.
The selection arrives as part of Sony’s Day of Play 2026 campaign, giving subscribers an early look at what they can claim in June. This month’s list has a clear multiplayer focus, with two co op games and one fighting game built around fast local or online matches.
Grounded Fully Yolked Edition is the most interesting addition because it comes from Obsidian and is published by Xbox Game Studios. The survival adventure was once tied closely to Xbox, but it later moved to other platforms as Microsoft changed its approach to exclusive games. Its arrival as a PlayStation Plus Essential title is another sign of how much the console business has shifted.
In Grounded, you play as tiny kids trying to survive in a backyard filled with insects, crafting needs, and environmental threats. The Fully Yolked Edition includes the expanded version of the game, which makes it a stronger offer for anyone who skipped it when it first came to PlayStation.

Warhammer 40,000 Darktide gives the June lineup another co op option, but with a very different style. It is a first person action game focused on squad based combat, heavy atmosphere, and waves of enemies. Unlike the other two games, Darktide is only available on PlayStation 5, so PlayStation 4 owners will not be able to claim that version.
Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 adds a lighter option to the month. It is a platform fighting game with characters from several Nickelodeon shows, and it should appeal to players who enjoy games in the same broad style as Super Smash Bros.
| Game | Main appeal | Platform support |
|---|---|---|
| Grounded Fully Yolked Edition | Co op survival in a backyard setting | PS4 and PS5 |
| Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 | Fast character fighting with Nickelodeon characters | PS4 and PS5 |
| Warhammer 40,000 Darktide | Co op action with squad based combat | PS5 only |
The inclusion of Grounded may draw the most attention because it reflects Microsoft’s wider push to bring its games to more platforms. Xbox has already started releasing more former exclusives on PlayStation, and PlayStation Plus now gives Sony subscribers another way to access one of those titles.
For PlayStation Plus Essential members, June looks like a month built around playing with friends. Grounded offers survival and crafting, Darktide brings heavier co op combat, and Nickelodeon All Star Brawl 2 fills the fighting game slot. The lineup may not appeal to everyone, but it gives subscribers three very different multiplayer choices.
