OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Health, a new health-focused experience inside ChatGPT that lets users connect medical records and wellness apps to receive personalized explanations and insights.
The feature allows users to upload or link health data so ChatGPT can help interpret lab results, summarize medical histories, prepare questions for doctor visits, and offer lifestyle guidance based on connected information. OpenAI positions the tool as an educational assistant, not a replacement for professional medical care.
How ChatGPT Health works
ChatGPT Health supports connections to popular health and wellness platforms, including fitness and nutrition tracking apps. Once linked, users can ask questions that reference their own data, such as trends in lab values or changes in activity levels over time.
The experience runs separately from standard ChatGPT conversations. OpenAI says health chats and records stay isolated from other usage and do not train its core AI models.

OpenAI emphasizes user control over sensitive data. Users can review stored health information, disconnect linked apps, or delete health data at any time through settings.

Availability and rollout
ChatGPT Health has started rolling out to users on Free, Go, Plus, and Pro plans. The initial launch excludes the European Economic Area, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom due to regulatory requirements.
