Nvidia 610.62 Driver Adds Empulse Support And Fixes Several Gaming Bugs

Nvidia has released its new 610.62 Game Ready driver for GeForce graphics cards, bringing day one support for Empulse and a long list of bug fixes across popular games and display features. The update is WHQL certified and is now available through the Nvidia app.

The main game addition in this release is support for Empulse, the next first person shooter from 1047 Games. The studio is known for Splitgate and Splitgate: Arena Reloaded, and Empulse is scheduled to enter early access on June 24. Nvidia says the game will support DLSS 4.5 with dynamic multi frame generation and Nvidia Reflex at launch.

For many players, though, the more important part of this driver is the bug fix list. Nvidia has addressed issues affecting World of Warcraft, Apex Legends, DLSS settings, multi monitor gaming, Smooth Motion, G Sync, monitor detection, sleep mode behavior, and general system stability.

What Nvidia 610.62 adds for Empulse

The 610.62 driver prepares GeForce systems for Empulse before its early access launch. Since the game supports DLSS 4.5 and Nvidia Reflex from day one, installing the latest driver should help players get the intended performance and latency benefits as soon as the game becomes available.

DLSS 4.5 with dynamic multi frame generation is aimed at improving frame rates on supported hardware, while Nvidia Reflex focuses on reducing system latency. For a fast paced shooter, both features can matter. Higher frame rates can make the game feel smoother, and lower latency can help inputs feel more immediate.

Empulse is also a notable release because 1047 Games already has experience with competitive shooters. Players who enjoyed Splitgate may be watching closely to see how the studio’s next project performs.

Major bug fixes in Nvidia 610.62

Nvidia’s new driver fixes several issues that could affect gaming stability and display behavior. Some fixes are tied to specific games, while others affect broader driver features.

Fixed issueWhat changed
World of WarcraftGaming stability improvements
Apex LegendsFixed occasional visual corruption after long gameplay sessions
DLSS settingsFixed an issue where DLSS options could appear grayed out after driver 610.47
Multi monitor gamingImproved stability when using V Sync with DLSS Frame Generation
Smooth MotionFixed jittering or ghosting in some DirectX 11 games
Smooth Motion crashesFixed crashes when launching some games with Smooth Motion enabled
Ada GPUs and G SyncFixed frame pacing issue on certain monitors
Monitor detectionFixed issue where some monitors appeared as NVIDIA NV Failsafe
Sleep modeFixed issue where certain monitors would not wake from sleep
General stabilityImproved handling when the system fails to create a new allocation

The Smooth Motion fixes are especially useful because that feature could previously cause visual problems or crashes in some games. Nvidia has also improved multi monitor behavior, which matters for players using more complex display setups.

One known issue remains in this release

Nvidia has listed only one open issue for the 610.62 driver. The “Prefer Maximum Performance” power management mode may not apply correctly in some cases.

That means some players may still need to watch their settings if they rely on maximum performance mode for specific games or workloads. Nvidia has not said when the issue will be fixed, but listing only one open issue makes this driver look cleaner than many previous releases.

Who should install this Nvidia driver

Players planning to try Empulse should install the 610.62 driver before the early access launch. It is also worth installing if you were affected by any of the fixed issues, especially problems with Apex Legends, World of Warcraft, Smooth Motion, DLSS settings, G Sync, or monitor wake behavior.

For people whose current driver is stable and who do not play the affected games, updating is less urgent. Still, the size of the fix list makes this a useful update for many GeForce owners.

The Nvidia 610.62 driver is available now through the Nvidia app. Players who prefer manual installation can also download the standalone driver package from Nvidia’s official driver page.
