Nintendo has opened preorders for a new Nintendo Switch 2 bundle that includes Switch Sports Resort, giving buyers a cheaper way to add a game to the console after the recent hardware price increase.
The package costs $529.99 in the US. A standalone Nintendo Switch 2 now costs $499.99, which means the game effectively adds $30 to the price of the system.
Switch Sports Resort normally carries a $59.99 launch price, so the bundle saves around $30 compared with buying the console and game separately at their current prices.

The bundle is more attractive after the Switch 2 price increase
Nintendo's bundle strategy looks different after the console's latest price change.
Before September 1, Switch 2 bundles that included a game were commonly priced around $499. At that point, the value was less compelling for anyone who did not specifically want the included title.
The standalone console now costs $499.99, so paying another $30 for Switch Sports Resort creates a clearer discount.
The package also includes three months of Nintendo Switch Online, normally worth $7.99, which adds a little more value for players who plan to use online features.
There is no special edition hardware included. The Switch 2 itself uses the standard design, while Sports Resort is supplied as a downloadable game.
Current Switch 2 discounts remain limited
Straight discounts on brand new Switch 2 hardware are still difficult to find.
That makes official bundles more useful for anyone planning to buy a console immediately. Instead of waiting for a rare hardware discount, buyers can effectively reduce the price of an included game.
Some retailers have previously sold renewed Switch 2 systems for around the console's older $449.99 price, but those offers have been inconsistent and difficult to find.
Demand also remains strong, partly because certain limited or highly anticipated bundles have been difficult to secure.
With major shopping periods such as Black Friday approaching, there is no guarantee that standard Switch 2 hardware will receive large discounts, especially while component availability remains tight.
Sports Resort brings back motion focused Nintendo gameplay
Switch Sports Resort is designed around the kind of accessible sports minigames associated with Nintendo's Wii era.
The bundle therefore makes the most sense if you already want that style of multiplayer experience. If you have no interest in Sports Resort, buying the standard console may still be the better option despite the smaller overall saving.
Nintendo has also announced another Switch 2 package featuring Mario Kart, although that bundle has not yet become widely available for preorder.
For now, the $529.99 Sports Resort package is one of the more straightforward ways to save money on a brand new Switch 2 setup. You are paying only $30 more than the console itself while receiving a full game and three months of Nintendo Switch Online.
