GTA 6 Gets Physical Vinyl and CD Editions for Its Soundtrack

Grand Theft Auto VI will remain a digital only game at launch, but Rockstar is giving fans a physical product tied to the release through Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

The soundtrack will be sold on vinyl and CD, with several editions already available for preorder. The album contains 34 original tracks created for the game and is scheduled to ship on November 20, one day after Grand Theft Auto VI launches digitally on November 19, 2026.

The release gives collectors something physical to buy even though the game itself will not ship on disc.

The soundtrack includes 34 original tracks

The album is built around music made specifically for Grand Theft Auto VI and is expected to reflect the atmosphere of Vice City and the wider Leonida setting.

Rockstar says the soundtrack includes 34 original songs covering a wide mix of artists and styles.

Several major performers are already confirmed. The initial track list includes Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards.

Other announced collaborations include CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy.

The first six tracks have already been released on streaming services ahead of the complete album.

Among the confirmed songs are That's It by Yung Lean featuring Future and Metro Boomin, RHYNO by Travis Scott, Sexy Magic, Last Thing You Need by Morgan Wallen, Macacoa 2000 by Rauw Alejandro and Bright Lights, Big City by Keith Richards.

Multiple vinyl variants are planned

The standard physical options include a regular vinyl pressing and a CD edition, while collectors can also buy a more expensive Limited Edition Vinyl package.

Retailer exclusive variants are also being offered, including different vinyl designs and packaging.

This fits with the broader merchandising strategy around the game, giving fans several collectible formats despite the absence of a physical game disc.

The contrast is notable because Rockstar and its parent company have already confirmed that Grand Theft Auto VI itself will launch digitally on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

Physical soundtrack arrives one day after the game

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to release digitally on November 19, 2026.

The physical soundtrack is set to ship on November 20, so buyers should not expect the album to arrive before the game itself.

For players interested mainly in the music, the streaming releases provide an earlier preview of the soundtrack. Collectors, meanwhile, can choose between the cheaper CD, the standard vinyl or the premium limited edition package.

The soundtrack announcement also suggests that music will continue to play a major role in the game's presentation and radio system.

While GTA 6 will not offer the traditional boxed physical release many fans may have expected, the album gives Rockstar a separate physical product tied closely to the launch.
