GeForce NOW Adds Gears of War E Day, STAR WARS Galactic Racer and Hellraiser Revival

GeForce NOW is expanding again in October with support for 10 additional games, including several major new releases such as Gears of War: E Day, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer and Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival.

The latest update also includes Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star, Silver Pines and Permafrost, along with three existing games that are joining the cloud gaming service.

Gears of War: E Day is one of the biggest additions. The game launched on October 6 for Steam and Xbox, and it is also available through Game Pass. Players with access to a supported PC license can now stream it through GeForce NOW instead of running it locally.

Ten Games Join GeForce NOW This Week

Most of this week's additions are recent releases arriving on the service around the same time as their PC launches.

STAR WARS: Galactic Racer launched on October 6, while Hellraiser: Revival, Forever Ago, Order of the Sinking Star and Silver Pines followed on October 8.

Permafrost is scheduled for October 9 and is also included in this week's GeForce NOW update.

The remaining titles, Graveyard Keeper 2, Solasta II and Tyr, are existing Steam releases being added to the supported library.

Fire TV Is Getting Easier GeForce NOW Membership Access

Another change is coming for players using GeForce NOW through Amazon Fire TV devices.

Memberships will soon be available to purchase directly through Amazon, giving Fire TV owners a simpler route from setting up the service to actually starting a game.

More details about the integration are expected later.

The change could make GeForce NOW easier to access for people using a television as their main gaming screen, particularly those who do not own a dedicated console or gaming PC.

Dune Awakening Xbox App Support Is Still Pending

There is also an update on Dune: Awakening.

The Xbox app version was expected to receive GeForce NOW support in September but did not arrive as planned.

A further announcement about that version is expected later, although no new date has been confirmed yet.

More games are also scheduled to join GeForce NOW during the rest of October.

You Still Need to Own the Games

GeForce NOW works differently from subscription libraries such as Game Pass.

A GeForce NOW membership gives you access to cloud hardware, but it does not automatically provide licenses for the games themselves.

You generally need to own a supported game through a compatible PC storefront before streaming it. PC Game Pass licenses can also provide access to supported titles such as Gears of War: E Day.

The service also applies monthly usage limits depending on the membership tier.

This week's update strengthens the October lineup with several high profile releases arriving close to launch. Gears of War: E Day is the standout addition, but the combination of new action, racing, horror and RPG titles gives subscribers a broader selection to stream without needing local gaming hardware capable of running them.
