Forza Horizon 6 has gone gold ahead of its May 19 launch, and Playground Games has confirmed several final details, including preload sizes, console graphics modes, and the game’s radio lineup. The biggest music news is that Forza Horizon 6 will have the largest soundtrack in the series so far.
Preloading is already available on Xbox Series X|S and through the Xbox app on PC. Steam preload will follow later.
You will need plenty of storage space
Forza Horizon games are large, and the new entry is no exception. The PC version is the biggest download and also requires an SSD.
| Platform | Required storage |
|---|---|
| Xbox Series S | 130GB |
| Xbox Series X | 135GB |
| PC | 160GB and SSD required |
The console graphics options are also confirmed. Xbox Series S can run at 1440p and 30 FPS, or 1080p and 60 FPS. Xbox Series X supports native 4K at 30 FPS, or dynamic 4K at 60 FPS.
Nine radio stations will shape the game’s music
Forza Horizon 6 includes nine stations: Horizon Bass Arena, Horizon XS, Horizon Pulse, Horizon Block Party, Hospital Records, Gacha City Radio, Sub Pop Records, Horizon Wave, and Horizon Opus.

Only Horizon Bass Arena and Horizon XS have had their full tracklists shared so far. Even from those two stations, the range is broad. Horizon Bass Arena focuses on electronic music, while Horizon XS leans into rock, metal, punk, and heavier tracks.
Some confirmed artists include BABYMETAL, Linkin Park, Poppy, Spiritbox, Turnstile, ONE OK ROCK, Pendulum, Calvin Harris, FISHER, Subtronics, Confidence Man, and Tourist. BABYMETAL appears twice on Horizon XS with White Flame and Gimme Chocolate. Linkin Park is represented with Up From The Bottom.
Forza’s radio stations have always been part of the atmosphere, especially during long drives, showcase events, and open world exploration. A larger soundtrack should help reduce repetition, which is useful in a game many people will play for months.
The mix also fits the setting better if Playground is leaning into a wider Japanese music influence through stations like Gacha City Radio. The confirmed Horizon XS list already includes Japanese artists such as BABYMETAL, BAND MAID, ONE OK ROCK, PassCode, and GOKUMON.
The main takeaway is that Forza Horizon 6 is now in the final stretch. The game is ready for launch, the preload sizes are confirmed, performance modes are set, and the soundtrack looks larger and more varied than before. For a series built around driving, mood, and open world energy, that music lineup may matter more than it first seems.
