Amazon has launched a new promotion that sharply cuts the price of its Audible subscription, offering three months of access for just $0.99 per month, or roughly $3 total.
The deal applies to Audible’s Premium Plus plan and represents one of the steepest discounts Amazon has offered on its audiobook service. Under normal pricing, the same plan costs $14.95 per month, making the promotion an aggressive push to attract new listeners and win back former subscribers.
Who can get the Audible $3 deal
Amazon targets the offer at new Audible customers and returning users who are not currently subscribed. Eligibility depends on the account, and Audible displays the offer automatically after users sign in.
Active subscribers typically do not qualify unless Amazon marks their account as eligible. The promotion currently appears for U.S.-based accounts.
What the subscription includes
During the three-month promotional period, subscribers receive:
- One audiobook credit per month, for a total of three credits
- Full access to the Audible Plus catalog, which includes thousands of audiobooks, podcasts, and Audible Originals
- Permanent ownership of any audiobooks redeemed with credits, even after canceling
Credits continue to roll over only while the membership remains active.
What happens after three months
At the end of the promotional period, Audible automatically renews the subscription at the standard $14.95 per month rate. Users can cancel at any time before renewal to avoid being charged.
Amazon does not require a long-term commitment, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle.
Limited-time availability
Audible lists the promotion as a limited-time offer, with the current deal page showing an end date of January 21, 2026. As with previous Audible discounts, Amazon may remove or extend the offer without prior notice.
Similar promotions have often appeared around major retail events or seasonal sales, but the $0.99-per-month pricing places this deal among Audible’s most aggressive offers to date.
Why Amazon is pushing Audible discounts
Audiobook listening continues to grow, and Audible remains the dominant platform in the space. By lowering the entry cost to nearly nothing, Amazon reduces friction for users curious about audiobooks but hesitant to pay full price.
For listeners interested in long-form titles, bestsellers, or Audible Originals, the promotion offers strong value even if users cancel before the standard pricing kicks in.
As competition in digital audio intensifies, Amazon’s $3 Audible deal signals a renewed focus on subscriber growth rather than short-term revenue.
