The Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light has been delayed again and is now scheduled to arrive in March 2027.
The port had previously been expected during Summer 2026, but the development team says it needs more time to improve performance and make sure the Switch 2 version meets its quality target. An exact March release date has not yet been announced.
The delay only affects the Nintendo platform. 007 First Light is already available on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S following its May 27 release.

Switch 2 performance remains the priority
The studio says the extra development time will be focused on polishing performance specifically for Nintendo Switch 2.
This is consistent with earlier comments from the team, which had already said it did not want the Switch 2 edition to feel clearly inferior to the versions available on more powerful hardware.
The port was originally planned to arrive alongside the other versions of the game. It was later moved to Summer 2026 before receiving this latest delay into March 2027.
That makes the Switch 2 edition significantly later than the PC, PS5 and Xbox Series releases, but the development team appears willing to accept the delay rather than release the port before it reaches the expected standard.
Public demos have received positive feedback
Despite the delay, development does not appear to have stalled.
A playable Switch 2 demo shown at Gamescom reportedly received positive feedback, and the same build is expected to be available during Tokyo Game Show from September 17 to September 21.
The studio plans to share more information about the port closer to launch.
That suggests the current delay is primarily about optimization rather than a major redesign of the game.
Earlier listings pointed to a much sooner launch
Before the new announcement, retailer listings had created speculation that the Switch 2 version could arrive around September 16.
One Japanese listing showed the game at 8,910 yen, or roughly $55, and appeared to indicate a September release.
Those listings now appear to have been inaccurate or based on outdated information.
The official March 2027 window replaces the previous Summer 2026 target, and players should not expect the Switch 2 edition before then unless the studio announces another change.
007 First Light presents a new origin story for James Bond and marks a major expansion beyond the developer's established Hitman series. The Switch 2 version remains in development, but Nintendo players will now have to wait several more months before getting access to it.
