Xbox Play Anywhere Adds 30 More Games as Its Library Passes 2,350 Titles

Xbox Play Anywhere has expanded again with 30 additional games joining the program, giving players more options to move between Xbox consoles, Windows PCs, and compatible handheld devices without buying the same title twice.

The latest additions take the Xbox Play Anywhere library beyond 2,350 supported games. The program allows an eligible digital purchase to work across Xbox and PC, while supported titles can also share saves, achievements, downloadable content, and progression between devices.

PGA Tour 2K25 is one of the most recognizable games in the new group. Its addition means anyone who owns the supported Xbox digital version can continue playing on a PC or handheld through the Xbox app.

Other notable additions include Buckshot Roulette, Dragon Quest Monsters: The Withered World, Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered, Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered, and Final Fantasy Resonance, which is scheduled to launch on October 22, 2026.

Xbox Play Anywhere continues to become a stronger reason to buy digitally

The main advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere is flexibility. A game purchased once can be played on more than one type of device, which is useful if you move between a television, desktop computer, laptop, or handheld.

Progress can also follow you between supported platforms. This removes the need to restart a campaign when changing devices and makes portable play more practical.

PGA Tour 2K25 becomes one of the biggest additions

PGA Tour 2K25 supports career play, custom characters, course creation, and several multiplayer options. Adding Xbox Play Anywhere gives the game more value for anyone who prefers playing long sessions on a console but also wants access through a portable PC.

The feature can be particularly useful for sports and simulation games because progress often continues over many months. Shared saves make it easier to complete shorter activities away from the console and return later without losing progress.

Buckshot Roulette offers a very different experience. The game uses a dangerous game of chance built around a shotgun and limited information. Its short sessions make it well suited to handheld play.

Final Fantasy Resonance is another important addition because its inclusion is confirmed before release. The role playing game uses pixel art inspired by older Final Fantasy entries while introducing a new story and a battle system involving companions and Visions.

Support from larger publishers is becoming more important

Xbox Play Anywhere began with a smaller selection of Microsoft published releases, but the program now includes many independent and third party games.

Recent major releases such as 007 First Light have launched with support, while the upcoming racing game Clutch will also use the feature. Continued participation from larger publishers could make Play Anywhere more valuable than a simple bonus attached to selected releases.

The program may also become more important as Windows based handheld gaming grows. Devices that use the Xbox PC app can access eligible purchases without requiring another copy from a separate storefront.

Xbox Play Anywhere does have limits. It generally applies to digital purchases from the Xbox ecosystem and does not mean a Steam copy automatically works on an Xbox console. Support can also be added after release, which may leave people uncertain about which version to buy at launch.

Still, passing 2,350 supported games shows that the program is continuing to expand. The latest 30 additions cover several genres and include both current releases and upcoming games, giving more Xbox purchases value across console, PC, and handheld hardware.
