“The Quick Settings panel is an efficient way to adjust and enable the options you use the most in Windows 11”
Enable the options YOU USE THE MOST…..
Well as of 24H2 you no longer have the ability to do that.
Now ALL of the options are in that scrolling menu so now you have to look at 12 other things you do not use.
So what, you can rearrange them.
Microsoft Engineers keep doing things for my own good. Just stop already.
What I really believe they are doing is making it easier for THEM to debug and push features no one cares about.
I hate that the Volume Control is now included in this badly named “quick settings” bunch instead of being independent. It takes too long for the whole pop up box to load, with volume being last.
Why isn’t volume by itself in the system tray like before, and so much quicker to adjust?
So annoying.
There should be a swipe gesture to activate quick settings. i feel its more usable than the notification pane or the widgets pane. maybe swipe from below or top. and yes it should be kind of open source so other developers can add their buttons on there.

I completely understand your frustration. Removing the ability to edit your Quick Settings was a very bad idea.

To activate them on a touchscreen, swipe from the right edge of the screen, towards the left.
