Why is Microsoft not updating its Windows 10 devices to 21H2 . The executable ‘Windows10Upgrade9252.exe’ doesn’t seem to know which partition it is on written on its screen “Sorry, we-re having trouble determining if your PC can run Windows 10… ” https://i.gyazo.com/aa212339c48c611110ec9d4c4f0a47a0.png and will not update laptops with backup partitions . Why is Microsoft not providing a professional solution that will work with all devices that have different partitions ?

Microsoft Support informed me in phone call 2022-03-29 ending 3:25pm that this update will not work with any preinstalled devices like Dell or HP with a Push Button Reset E:/ in Disk Partition Window which you can obtain by a Search in control panel for Disk Management and load the Disk Management screen.

If the upgrade fails and I want to try again, can I avoid the download since everything is still on the hard drive?

I installed the Nov update without incident only to discover that EDGE was no longer capable of reading EPUB (eBook) format files. I have approx 22,000 eBooks so I immediately uninstalled the update to get the capability of reading eBooks back. EDGE is my favorite eBook reader and I will not upgrade until that capability is restored!

Has anyone else experienced a failed update with April 2018? I’ve been using the “Update & Security” section in the W10 setting panel. Goes thru the download, installing, but then on Restart goes part way and restores back to previous build. Error msg revolves around rights. I run wu170509.diagcab tells me 3 points are fixed but still a no-go. Have tried 3x. Search solutions are not conclusive. Any ideas?

Don’r know why but the 1607 update completely erased all my photos in the Pictures Library (some irreplaceable) thank goodness I had Macrium Reflect and was able to recover them.
Ciprian has anyone encountered any glitches or bugs such as this on this new update?

We did not. All our upgraded went smoothly, without loosing data. However, we also back up all our personal files in two ways:
      1. Using OneDrive (in the cloud)
      2. On an external hard drive, using File History, so that we also have an offline backup at all times
