CD Projekt Red will reveal The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansion Songs of the Past during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 25, 2026.
The presentation will provide the first proper look at the new expansion, which is scheduled for release in 2027. CD Projekt Red is developing the project alongside Fool’s Theory, the studio also working on the remake of the original Witcher game.
Opening Night Live begins at 11am Pacific Time, 2pm Eastern Time, and 8pm Central European Summer Time. The presentation will include information about the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC versions.
Songs of the Past was confirmed in May following months of rumours. The expansion is expected to offer a substantial new adventure for Geralt of Rivia before The Witcher 4 shifts the series toward Ciri as its leading character.
CD Projekt Red has not yet confirmed the expansion’s setting, story, price, or exact release date. It has also remained silent about a possible Nintendo Switch 2 version, which has become one of the main concerns among fans.
Songs of the Past could become Geralt’s final major adventure
