Sony has announced a new collection of limited edition PlayStation 5 hardware themed around Marvel’s Wolverine, including a special PS5 Digital Edition bundle, two DualSense controller designs and matching console covers.
The main design uses Wolverine’s familiar yellow and black color scheme, while a second Adamantium themed option offers a more metallic look inspired by the material bonded to Logan’s skeleton.
Preorders will open on August 19, with the hardware launching on September 15 alongside Marvel’s Wolverine for PlayStation 5.

The Battle Yellow PS5 bundle uses the Digital Edition console rather than a model with a disc drive.
Battle Yellow design follows Wolverine’s classic colors
The main limited edition design uses yellow and black across the console covers and controller.
Claw mark graphics are incorporated into the artwork, reinforcing the Wolverine theme without changing the basic shape of the hardware.
The visual direction was created in collaboration with Scottish graphic artist Jock, who worked with Insomniac Games on the comic inspired style.
The artwork was originally drawn using traditional methods before being adapted to the console and controller surfaces.
Sony is also making the Battle Yellow design available separately as replacement covers, meaning existing owners do not need to buy a full console bundle to get the new look.
Existing PS5 Slim owners can buy matching covers
Sony will sell Battle Yellow covers for compatible PlayStation 5 Slim systems.
That gives current owners a less expensive way to adopt the Wolverine design without replacing their console.

PS5 Pro owners will also have dedicated Battle Yellow covers.
The separate cover approach follows Sony’s wider accessory strategy for the current generation, where console appearance can be changed without modifying internal hardware.
This makes the Wolverine collection more flexible than a limited edition console that can only be purchased as a complete system.
Adamantium version offers a second style
Sony is also introducing an Adamantium themed design.
This version is inspired by the fictional metal bonded to Wolverine’s skeleton and uses a more metallic appearance than the yellow and black model.
The Adamantium design will be available as a DualSense Wireless Controller and as PS5 Pro console covers.
Pricing matches the Battle Yellow accessories, with the controller listed at $84.99 and the PS5 Pro covers at $74.99 in the US.
The two color options give buyers a choice between Wolverine’s traditional comic book appearance and a design based more closely on his character lore.
Launch lines up with Marvel’s Wolverine release
All of the announced hardware is scheduled to arrive on September 15.
That is the same day Marvel’s Wolverine launches on PlayStation 5.
The coordinated release makes the bundle and accessories part of Sony’s wider launch campaign for the game rather than a separate hardware promotion.
Preorders begin on August 19, giving buyers several weeks to secure the limited edition products before release.
The full console bundle will cost $649.99 in the US, while the standalone DualSense controllers and covers provide lower cost options for people who already own compatible PS5 hardware.
Sony’s Wolverine collection gives the upcoming game one of the company’s more extensive hardware tie ins, spanning a complete digital console bundle, multiple cover sets and two controller designs.
