I have an ASUS RT-AX86U router. I have a mix of clients all the way up to WiFi 6E. This router can only support a max of WiFi 6. I have never used Smart Connect. My 2.4 and 5 GHz bands have different SSID names but the same password which is not the same as my router management logon PW. My 5GHz devices know both of my WiFi bands. I am getting occasional connect speeds of 2400Mbps but more usually about 1600Mbps on my 6E devices. My main desktop has both ethernet and WiFi 6E and I swap between them just to make sure both are working. Subjectively, I can’t tell the speed difference between them as my internet speed is 100MHz and is the limiting factor. My WiFi 6E devices are Intel AX210 and an AX211.

Excellent router, speeds, and setup. 😀
